IT'S COMING! THE ANNUAL ADOPT/RESCUE STROLL IS RETURNING!!

Guess What?! The Annual Adopt Stroll and Contest is returning! We are coming back for a 7th year! For the last few years, our dear friend Gibbon has done a tremendous job in helping coordinate this huge effort. Unfortunately, Gibbon is not able to assist us on the front lines this year, but he will be lending a paw from behind the scenes.

No worries though! We have a great team of administrators and judges who are energized and ready to go! (More details to follow!)

So, for those of you new to the contest, our mission is easy :D

The contest was created by Dogster members, it provides an opportunity that allows Dogster members to share their life experience as to how an adopted pup has brought joy, love and fulfillment to one’s life. The mission is simple -- to inspire, motivate and encourage others to consider adoption when adding a member to their family. So many beautiful pups wait in cages and foster homes throughout the world. If this contest can change just one person’s mind to adopt, we have accomplished our goal!

At this time, we are coordinating donations and we could really use your help!

Well, River, how can we help?

There are generally no rules as to what people can donate. But here are a few guidelines:

*Monetary donations to charities are encouraged! It really is the intent of the contest to support those who make adoption possible!
*We encourage donations that can be sent electronically such as gift cards, zealies, purchase of item through site to the winner, etc.
*For tangible donations (gift baskets, toys, dog stuff), please know that the winner could be an international dogster member so please be aware before you commit.

My Mum finally told me about my best friend Buddy.....

My Mum just couldn't bring herself to tell me about my best friend Buddy....you see, he left for the Bridge....and she just couldn't speak about it out loud....that would make it real.

So, she finally whispered to me yesterday that my friend had made his journey. I am sooo sad....you see, he taught me how not to be an "only child"... :) and even though I am a girl...he taught me to lift me leg!

I spent a lot of time with Buddy and his brother Peanut....my pawrents and I were just in Nashville and I was with them for a few weeks....

My Aunty Pam is very sad, and I wish I was there so I could hug her close and take away her sorrow....

Buddy's smile will be furever etched in my heart.....

BOL!! I furgot this one! FUR MAXI!!!

I am a CWAZY Dogster Pup! BOL!!!

So....its has been a while since I wrote....BOL! But we have now made our way to the Florida Keys in my motorhome! Yup...The motorhome is called Run River Run! :) ...

I sit on the dash and watch the world go by! Loving it!

Yesterday my pawrents were in downtown Key West....and Mum starts barking with a lovely lady! Of course....the conversation goes to puppies *hug*...and Mum finds out the lady has two sweet furbabies! Well...there she goes....just tail wagging and barking about our Dogster... OH!! She paws a pen and paper....writes down all the stuff....gives her my ID#....BOL!!! I sure hope she joins! My Mum is cwazy! BOL!!

Oh My Dawgness! I LOVE the Ocean!

We have been on the road now for two months, and the other day my pawrents took me to the beach in St. Augustine....well....I nearly turned myself inside out with excitement! BOL!!!

I love swimming in the lake, and haven't been near the water for months now, so when I saw the water I ran like a crazy pup! WoooHooo!!!

I ran up to the water, and then the tide came in! BOL!! I literally ran backwards!!! Not just a step or two....bunches! I was confused!! My pawrents, and those around all laughed at me!! Then I ran back after the wave BOL!!! Oh My Dawgness! Did I have fun! I chased those waves...then ran backwards....chased them again!

Then....I rolled in seaweed! Pawsome!!! and then the sand!! Pawsome!!!

The only downer fur the day was I had to have a shower when I got home....but not after leaving half the beach worth of sand in the car! BOL!!

Gosh....what a day!

I HATE Peanut Butter! BOL!!!

Mum came home with my ""special cookies"" the other day....and guess what.... :( .....they were peanut butter....you would have thought by now she would know better than to have ANYTHING with peanut butter!

So...I am sending her back to the store....which is a 40 minute drive! BOL!!! and I think I am going to make HER eat the peanut butter ones!

Dawg Awful Busy ! Chapter 2!

It has been a cwazy 8 weeks....and as I said earlier, my Pawrents do not take instruction well! BOL!!!

I had to survive with only 2 toys ... like .... furever!! Mumma packed them all...then of course couldn't remember what box she put them in...**shakes head**. I wandered from the house to the motorhome and back....then to the lake house...all around...my toys were not to be found. And guess what???? My Pawrents still have not found the box with my toys....**stomps paws**....

NEW toys are in order...yupper....I am sending them away and they have to replace them ALL!!!

We are finally at the lake house, and finally things are calming a bit! BUT...then they find out the connection fur the computer....MY computer...was lousy. You see, the lake house is in the middle of a huge lake...so the signals are very weak.

I have had to make apologies to my pals fur not being able to attend pawties....silly pawrents....**stomps paws**....

But...in a few days we will have a satellite connection! Yipppeee! Woof!!!

Anywoof.....at least I will have some time to play soon! I sure have missed all my pals... :( ...

I am praying fur all my pals that have suffered in the terrible weather....

Dawg-Gone Busy!!!

There certainly is ton of activity around my house these days!!! My Mumma made me pack all my toys except fur two!!! **stomps paws**...what the heck???

You see, we are moving!! :) Fur the summer, we will be moving to our lake house in Lake of the Woods, Ontario! and fur the winter we will be traveling all over North America! Well...wherever there is good weather! I am thinking that will be a heck of a lot further south than here!

My pawrents bought me a motorhome! :) Yup!! Its called ""Run River Run"" !! and I am going to be the Chief Navigator!! I have been pawing the atlas...!! Perhaps we can visit some of my pals along the way! I know fur sure we are going to Nashville to visit my pals Angel Maggie, Buddy and Peanut!! WooHoo!!!

But...gosh....until mid May everything is going to be bonkers around here, and my pawrents don't take direction very well :( ! I mean...really? all but two toys??

Hmm...I may be a bit scarce around here fur a while...but will check in everyday hopefully!

What a wonderful day!!

It was my Woofday on February 5th! Can you believe I am 4??? I recall my pawrents bringing me home all the way from Vancouver...and Buddy Maggie & Miss Dixie were planning a babypuppy shower!! BOL!! It was a very exciting time! :)

Thanks to all the precious pups that have made the last 4 years entirely wonderful....you are all in my heart.

4 Years!!

I can't believe I am 4....good dawg!! Where did the time go! BOL!!! I am not sure what my Pawrents have in store for me today, but because they love me like the dickens! I am sure it will be exactly what I want BOL!! Hmmmm....any suggestions?? I am thinking bellyrubs ON demand !! and treats ON demand !! and....hmmm....

My Pawrents are thankful every minute of every day that I am a healthy and happy wee girl...
