I was born at a kennel in Northern California called Cody Creek. It was a nice place and the owners took very good care of us. My father was a Brithish National Champion Puppy who had been come to America. Im not sure if he won many shows here but he was very well known, his name was Sayners Smudge. My mother was named Loblolly Spring, She had been shown in goto ground classes and had a bunch of fancy certificates.

I was almost 8 weeks old when I first met my people mommy, her names Dianna. I fell in love with her as soon as we met but she was too busy looking at other pups to notice that I was watching every move she made.
I sat there and watched her and called to her "Hey come back here"
Several times she came back and picked me up and talked to me then she said " well little dog if I take you home with me what would I call you?'
I was so happy she DID hear me after all!
I Licked her face and told her that if she bought me and took me home that I would always be her best friend and her Keeper, She said "thats a good name your name is Keeper, ok little dog lets head home" and so I went to start my life in my new home.

There was another Jack there named Hillary and we had great fun playing together! We had a big back yard but me being Keeper and being a Jack Russell I had to be true to my nature and start digging under the fince, then climbing trees to get over it. Mom said that wasnt good but hey I wanted to run and explore! I wasnt happy when Mom brought home a kennel pen for me and put a roof on it so I couldnt get out.

I loved to play in the water and she bought me a kiddy pool and put it in my pen, that was fun, Id spash and jump and bark at the water. She put balls in the pen for me, Id put them in the pool and go bobbing for them...lol.

Once mom took me to a big dog show in a far away town. So many jacks!!
I was entered in a goto ground class, of course that was a breeze but everyone laughed at me when at the end I ran back into the bails of straw and lay there barking at the target. It was raining and I hated the rain!
They said I was pretty smart and I recieved the first leg to being a goto ground dog.

I had this ear that lay abit funny and mom didnt enter me in any conformation classes because she didnt think Id do so well.
We sat and watched and before long the judge came and asked why I wasnt in the class. Mommy said my Keeper dude is an awsome boy but he has this funny ear thing going on.
The judge said I was one of the best dogs there and that my over all build would far outweigh a funny ear tilt and she felt that someday I could be a champion.
Unfortunatally I never had the chance to show again but I know Ill always be my mommys Champion
