Life Before Adoption

Last night was an adventure!

My foster moms took me to PetCo for the first time! I've heard lots about it from Malkin and Paikea, but this was the first time I got to see it for myself. It was great - I totally understand why my fostersibs love it so much (and why they were kinda upset that they didn't come with me). PetCo even has toys as soon as you get up to the store! They're called "automatic doors" and they love to play chase with you back and forth. For some reason, this got all the bipeds laughing; I dunno why. The people who work there wanted to give me treats but I didn't care about those...not when they wanted to pet me. I'll take chin scratches over biscuits any day!

After that,we went to another human house to visit. There were two short bipeds there. I've met some of the short bipeds before (foster moms called them "kids") but they made me nervous; the littlest one scared the poop outta me! But not these kids last night...they know how to approach dogs, even the one who wasn't much bigger than me. And they let me give them lots of kisses too! So me and the two kids all cuddled up in the back of the Jeep, and I loved it. Foster moms were so happy about this; they said that being good with kids is a big thing to help find a furever home.

In the meantime, I like this fostering thing a lot! Good food, bones just for me, a soft bed of my own, toys, other dogs to play with, humans to love me up and teach me stuff....way way WAY better than a shelter!
