 Quick Bio:
 Likes: shoestrings

Pet-Peeves: He's not crazy about getting wet, oddly enough. And he has a tizzy when a stray cat wanders onto the porch.

Favorite Toy: Dad's shoes!

Favorite Food: What is this "favorite" you speak of? All food is favorite food.

Favorite Walk: Penn Valley Dog Run

Best Tricks: He has a pretty good recall, which is amazing to us. He also catches popcorn well.

Arrival Story: We saw him out the window, running in the street. Fraction went out to corral him for his owner, who we assumed was just behind. Applejack ducked under a car and when we got a good look at him and realized there was no owner, Fraction lured him out with an Altoid.
We hadn't moved into our new house yet, so he lived in the basement of empty house for a week or so while we took him to the vet, and got him started on medicine for his awful mange (he had no hair on his face!). We hadn't planned on keeping him - we just wanted to get him healthy enough that someone else would adopt him, but after a couple of days we decided he was part of the family.
One of the cats ("Ham") wishes we'd reconsider. Pablo tolerates Applejack admirably, though.

Today Mother made me wear a peculiar strap contraption on my face. I believe it was intended to keep me from pulling her her arm out of joint when I see a particularly appealing squirrel that I wish to give chase. I seem to recall that we tried something like this once before -- at puppy kindergarten -- but I didn't care for the previous version. I expressed my disdain by rolling around and scratching at my face and generally looking like a spaz.
I must confess this one was preferable. I fussed with it a bit, but only at home. I enjoy our walks so much that I frankly forgot I was wearing the headgear. And Mother seemed to like it, so I suppose we'll try it again tomorrow.
Oh! I have a date with Amy for an outing at the park tomorrow. Perhaps I'll wear my new contraption. I do think it makes me look dignified.
Mother found this link to a training article on the Halti and she now says we'll begin again tomorrow adding treats.
I like treats.
