Thank you all so much for your love and thoughts for our beautiful big boy Jacob.

On Thurs April 3rd, Jacob mustered up enough strength to take the decision out of ours hands, and crossed the bridge by himself.

After consulting with the vet the previous night, we decided to take him home, spoil and give him lots of love for a week before helping him to cross the bridge. We gave him some yummy roast chicken meat for dinner.
Next day, when Jordan (9) got home from school, Jacob was spritely enough to greet his little friend and have a good pat. However, two hours later he found Jacob lying peacefully, on the lawn in our backyard.

We are thankful for more than 13 years of love and licks and silly tricks from our dear friend Jacob, and are grateful he is no longer experiencing discomfort.

Thankyou Nicole for being there for Jordan when he needed you. And for letting our Dogster friends know when we weren't feeling up to it. (As you can see, we couldn't put it better ourselves)

It's comforting to hear from such caring people.

Jacob's loving family

Thankyou

Hey doggie dudes, how cool is this diary thing. Daisy finally just showed me how to do this diary and I'm Lovin' it. The big news for me right now is my new bed. Mum and Dad came out one day and saw me sleeping on the ground inside the frame that used to be my bed, in a massive split the whole length of the thing....not comfy....It made them sad and they went straight out and bought me this shibby new one. It's so snuggly and sometimes Daisy and I just lay and snooze together..This is the life............
