Arrival Story:
Rudy was found as a stray in my mom's neighborhood. A neighbor had been feeding him but my mom was concerned that he would get hit by a car, and in addition he is underweight. She picked him up and took him to her vet. Now we're trying to find this sweet boy a home!

Rudy has tested positive for heartworms. Fortunately, he hasn't had them long and his heart is in good shape. After his treatment and recovery, he will be neutered and hopefully find a loving forever home! He is a bit shy, and scared of thunderstorms, but very affectionate and sweet. We don't yet know how he is with cats, but so far is fine with other dogs. If you or someone you know would like to give Rudy a forever home, please contact me. If you can't give Rudy a home, but would like to contribute a few dollars to his treatment costs, please contact me and I can give you the vet clinic's information.

Hello there fellow pups! Just wanted to give you an update on moi. I'm loving life here at my foster mom's. Warm bed, great eats, all the attention a dog could want. The heartworms are almost gone, and when they are, I can finally run around in the backyard like a crazy dog!

Anyway, thanks for all the well-wishes from everyone. Foster mom is getting attached to me, so who knows, I may have found my forever home. But just in case, I'm still looking!

Hey everybody! I just wanted to check in and say hi. I am still living with Beast and Ruckus' grandma, and I'm recovering nicely from the heartworms. I still have several weeks of treatment left to go, though, but things are looking good.

I love it when people come to visit me! Beast & Ruckus' mom comes over a lot, and plays with me. I like to play tug and pounce on my toys. I also love to snuggle on her lap when she sits down. She says she would bring me home if she could!

I'm still looking for a fur-ever home, though. So if any of you Dogsters know of someone who could use a fun-loving and friendly pup in their life, tell them about me!!

This is Ruckus and Beast's mom here.... I just wanted to add that I went to visit Rudy today. I hadn't seen him since I went to the vet for picutres, and at the time he was very scared and nervous (I think he is storm-phobic). But wow, did he ever blossom!! He danced on all feet when he saw me come through the door, and couldn't have been friendlier. My mom and I took him for a walk, and he is a dream on-leash, no pulling and walks very nicely. We haven't seen him interact with other dogs yet but he saw some during the walk and had no reaction.

He loves playing with his toys and will eagerly roll over for a belly rub. He's very agile, too, sailed over some storage crates my mom had put up to keep him out of the utiity closet. He's had no accidents inside since coming into my mom's house, and no barking or whining despite being left alone occasionally. I handled his muzzle, ears and paws with no resistance, and took his toys and bone away as well, no resource guarding problems. I think if he is friendly with other dogs, we may have found the perfect pup!!

he is super sweet and would make a lovely, lovely pet. If you are in the Louisville area and are interested in meeting him, please let me know. He'll be staying with my mom for at least a month while he undergoes treatment and gets neutered, but we would still love to line up the perfect home in the meantime. Also, we are graciously accepting any donations towards his heartworm treatment and neuter... if you can spare even a few dollars, please contact me!
