February 11, 2006.
Have anyone fall in love with someone so deeply at first sight? I have!
The 2006 new year resolution for me was to find a puppy who will join our family and fill our lives with love and joy. About a week after new year, I found a little site online... 8 cocker pups was born on January 1, 2006. They needed to find good homes and will be ready to leave the nest by St. Valentine's day. I contacted the person who owned the puppies, arrange to see them the first chance I get...
I remember it so clear... the most perfect Saturday, the sun was bright, the sky was clear, it was warm and I was so happy to meet my new little baby boy! Me, Tiler, my parents and my little brother was taking a short drive... got lost twice, but we were still cheerful and happy! When we arrive at Rocky's, we all jazzed up and got so excited. We were the first group of people who would see the pups... all eight of them are there. You wouldn't believe how cute and adorable they looked!!! I wish I could take all of them home... right!!!
Rocky was one of the 5 boys in the litter, he was the first one who wags and came by to greet me and climb up on my hands. My heart melted and I knew, he got me by the palm of his paws! Although, being me and my greedy self, I had to hold all the boys... all 5. The little girls were cute, but I made up my mine a long time ago, I wanted a boy. After long big hugs and kisses and inspections, Rocky couldn't wait any longer, he came by licked my hands and stood up like he wanted a hug so I carried him. He didn't want to let go (because it was high and he's afraid of height) I just took it as a sign from God that Rocky was suppose to be mine so I hug him more tight and said "this one is mine!"
My parents also fell in love with one of the boys and took "Mango" home, that was amazing because Rocky can always visit and play with him, it was such a good idea because they will always be brothers and they love each other so much.
My husband wasn't there to pick out the boys but he had a better job, he named Rocky. When we finally got back to the house I was terrify... why? I was hoping my husband would fall in love with Rocky, too since he thought it was a bad idea to have a puppy! Anyway, he wasn't home!!!
O.k, make the story short (no kidding), Rocky melted his heart, too when he got home. He's such a good pup!!! Oh! and all this had took place on the Saturday of February 11, 2006.
