Arrival Story:
We were debating what kind of dog to get after we lost the last of our 4 cocker spaniels. My mother-in-law went back to a mini doxie after losing her poodle. They had had 3 of them before, getting their first one in Germany. So it only made sense for us to get one. They are best buddies (and she is his half-sister, different mothers). I flew to Dallas & then drove to the breeder (who is about 1/2 between Dallas and Houston). Then drove back to Dallas and then on to Albquerque. The people at the ticket desk and security were making over him, but of course he at the time fit into a hand and has some very unusual marking for a dachshund. I didn't know until I saw his pictures, that they came in any other color than red!!

Bio:
What a unique breed! Had heard about them, but it wasn't until we got Scooby did I realize who "owns" who!!
