Home at last

Mom goes to work

On Friday of last week, mom left me all alone when she went to work at her new job. As she was getting ready to go out the door, she locked me in the kitchen. But she did leave me with several toys, a bed, a potty and my food. I kept wondering when she was coming back for me and she finally did. I wonder how long this going to work thing is going to last? I hope she can spend more time with me than she is doing now--just at night and on the weekends.

However, from what I understand, this job thing is a good thing. Because when she gets paid, she can spend all of that extra money on me. She also tells me that when she gets enough of the money stuff, she and I are going to move away. Hopefully, we will still be able to see my grandparents and my cousin..

The Lake

I got to go on my very first boat ride this weekend. I absolutely loved it! At first I tried to jump off the boat into something called a lake, but my mommy wouldn't let me. I didn't like getting on and off the boat though - it moved up and down and scared me. However, I got to see my grandparents, my aunt and uncle, and my cousin. Along with a few strangers who were really friendly. After the boat ride, we all came back to the house and ate. Then we all got back on the boat and went out for another ride.

On the boat ride, when I was relaxed, I started to bite at the wind. My mommy thought that I was pretty funny. My cousin, Keiki, was doing the same thing.

New Place

This is my very first entry. My name is Emmy and I have been in my new home since March. I absolutely love it here and my owner is wonderful. She gives me lots and lots of love and lots of treats.

My mom told me that she made me a web page, whatever that is. Now looking at it, it's great. So I decided I should start writing about my adventures. She just got back from being away for three weeks. Boy did I miss her like crazy. But I stayed with Grandma and Grandpa (her parents). They are really nice, too. But they were gone all the time and I missed them. Anyway. My mom has a sister (my aunt) who also has a dog of the exact same breed and we see them a lot. It is quite fun.

I love going outside and playing for a long time. I especially love it when the older neighbor lady comes to the fence and gives me a treat. I really like to roll in the grass and I like running along the fence line with a neighbor dog.

I have also been on a few adventures. I've been to the groomer, the vet and up to my aunt's house in another town. I am really good wherever I go. People ooh and ahh at me all the time. I love all that attention.
