Sun Sign: Badges: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 12th 1990
Likes: She loved watching our street through the front window

Pet-Peeves: She didn't have any

Favorite Toy: A football my brother gave her. She was one heck of a wide receiver

Favorite Food: She loved ice. It was probably her favorite treat

Favorite Walk: She went to graduate school with me - so anywhere around the university

Best Tricks: She could do anything! Her best trick was finding my Diet Coke when I put it down and then couldn't remember where I put it

Arrival Story: My neice was jogging by the Golf Course near her house and there's was this black puppy lieing in the road. She thought the puppy was dead, but as she approached, the puppy got up and started to trot slowly after another couple jogging. She called to the other people, "Your puppy can't keep up with you."
They called back, "not my puppy."
My neice did what every dog-lover would do, she convinced the puppy to follow her home. My brother, though, was not interested in another dog. So he asked my help in "getting rid" of the puppy as they were going away for a spring vacation. I took one look at the puppy and said, "I'll take her, if its okay with Melissa." Melissa, my neice said yes and Leisl who was briefly called Greenway because she was found lying in North Greenway Drive became my best friend ever.

Bio: Leisl was spayed after her first heat cycle. That was the prevailaing science at the time. It was supposed to protect her from getting breast cancer along with the other benefits of spaying. But it didn't. About the time she turned 10, I found the first lump. The vet decided not to treat it because they rarely metastisize (I know I spelled that wrong). But it did. It went to her throat and slowly but surely strangled her.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, July 1st, 2001 when my neighbors helped me load into the Jeep for the last time. At the vet Zack, my then 11 week old Corgi puppy, and I nuzzled and petted Leisl until her life was over.
