Wooing a new cat

My mom is trying to woo a new cat into our lives. There is a very skinny black cat hanging around outside now and then and my mom is leaving food out for it. I think one cat in a house is just right but this black kitty does look pretty hungry. That's sad so my mom is doing a good thing. As long as it stays outside, I'm OK with her good deed. Even cats shouldn't go hungry, I guess.

Tribute to Frankie

One of my mom's friend's family just lost their beloved friend and cat, Frankie. Frankie was a very special cat and had recently made a move with his family to Colorado. Unfortunately his liver stopped functioning and there was no hope for recovery.
I just want everyone who reads this to say a little prayer for Frankie and the family he left behind - Omero, Tonya, Kelsey, Ian and Alley (also a cat). Kelsey grew up with Frankie and relied on him for comfort and understanding through difficult and happy times.
I love you, Kelsey, and your mom, Tonya - she know how to make a dog happy with a great belly rub. I haven't met Omero and Ian but they are lucky dudes to live with you!
Your friend,
Mozart
