The eyes are the road to a dogs soul. They say pet me, feed me, love me and I will trust you, protect you and cheer you until it is time for me to go to the rainbow bridge. JM

My mom and dad

Anyone leaving him.

Favorite Toy:
Mom's socks

Favorite Food:
Biljac liver treats. However the vet said I am getting pudgy and need to change treats to carrots, broccoli. Hmph! He thinks I'm a rabbit.

Favorite Walk:
Anyplace his Momma is

Best Tricks:
Sit, stay, sit up, down, dancing on his back legs, and roll over.

Arrival Story:
We had lost one of our Poms of 14 years. I JUST HAPPENED to be in the classified ads and JUST HAPPENED to be in the doggie section, and see a picture of the most adorable 12 week old fuzz butt. I went and got him from his birth parents, brought him home, and my husband got tears in his eyes and said, honey I can't do that. I had to take him back, crying all the way. Two days later I told my very angelic husband it just about killed me to take that puppy back and he said if he really meant that much to me I could go and get him. I knew he was mine the moment I laid eyes on him. It was love at first sight!

His name should have been "Kirby" or "Hoover". He eats anything he can get his mouth on. He is very good about dropping it....IF I see him with foreign objects, but of course much of the time I don't see him. I keep rubber gloves always at the ready to inspect our passing glories, (poops) looking for the latest tid bit. It"s like, oh yeah, there is the plastic off of the squeaky, or the fuzz off the ternnis ball. You never know how or what things are going to come out. Our heaven passed 14 year old and our existing 15 year old were kinda like that too ( I guess all pups are) but he is the worst I've seen. Needless to say we have some pretty outlandish emergency vet bills, with x-rays looking for the latest "treat". We keep a running supply of "Laxatone". He is now a year old and hopefully he will grow out of this.

Birthday Poem for Hoss

You feed me when I'm hungry,
you keep water in my dish,
you let me sleep on anything,
or anyplace I wish.

You sometimes let me lick your hands,
or even lick your face,
despite the fact I've licked myself,
in every private place.

You taught me how to come when called,
you taught me how to sit,
you always let me go outside,
so I can take a . . . . stroll.

I've been with you through oh, so much,
through laughter and through tears,
I hope you live to be a hundred,
that's 700 in doggy years.

• Who looks at you with adoration and love always?

• Who can make you smile and calm your nerves no matter what the world throws at you?

• Who loves you no matter what?

• Who never challenges what you say, no matter how dumb it may sound?

• Who would follow you to the end of the earth?

• Who is always ecstatic when you come home?

• Who constantly says “I Love You” without speaking a word?

• Who will truly stand by you for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health?

You can give a dog a chance to be the ANSWER. Show your love this day by supporting One Dog for One Day at the SPCA International.

My friends LuLu (522850) and Buddy, (357007) tagged me! I feel so loved! So for Valentine's Day, I wish that.

1. Mom would leave Dad alone and let him spoil me.

2. I wish when I'm begging she would look into my beautiful brown eyes, then she would spoil me too. (She can't resist)

3. I wish I could meet my sweet filly in person, then we could romp in the mountains we both love so much.

4. I pray all my pup friends stay healthy and whole this year.

5. I pray all of my pup friends mommys and daddys stay healthy, whole, and have all their needs met this year.

I love you all!
