Arrival Story:
My daddy discovered me one day when he was visiting a dairy farm nearby his own farm. I was a newborn pup and my daddy says that when he went over to look at the litter he thought I was the handsomest. (He was also impressed that when the cow's milk was placed in front of the litter, I pushed my brothers and sisters out of the way to get to it and lap it up!)

Bio:
I lived the first 6 years of my life on my daddy and granparent's farm. My half-brother Simba was adopted by my mommy and lived in town while I lived on the farm. Simba was a little snobby at first, me being a country dog and him being a city dog and he used to play little tricks on me like when we played tug-of-war and I won I would always come back with the rope but when he won he would take it and run away with it. He also stole my bones. But he is my best buddy ever now and we love each other so much. When I was sick and almost died, Simba and my daddy stayed all day long with me at the animal hospital. Simba laid down next to Pete. Pete passed away September 1, 2009 sometime between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. He died in his favorite place, in our family room with his best buddy Simba by his side and Sophia and William playing in the other room. Pete had battled against lymphoma for the past year or so and underwent chemotherapy for 16 weeks which undoubtedly increased his time with us. While hardest, the last days his spirits remained high.
