Dog of the Day, November 30, 2009!

Wow! I was elected Dogster Dog of the Day on Monday, November 30, 2009! I am thrilled beyond words! Thank you to everyone who send messages and gifts. You all are the bestest pals in the world! Mommy is so proud of me! Woo Hoo!

Dear Diary

Well, it is official. Cricket and I are one of Dogster's newest couples. I think we look good together. What do you think? Isn't Cricket beautiful? And my future in-laws actually like me. I call Cricket's Mommy Auntie Susie. She sent me the firstest blankee that I ever had. I sleep on it every day. It is one of my personal treasures.

Anyway, I will keep you posted as things progress.

January 2009

Lots has been going on. My human sister Julie got married on January 3 and on January 13, her job was eliminated. So now she is moving to San Antonia in a few weeks with her new hubby where she will have to find a new job. That means she will take Bandit and Daisy. Then we will only be four furs and Mommy.

The good thing is that Mommy will have lots more time to spend on her Dogster work. Maybe she will finally learn how to make fancy pictures and jazzy backgrounds. Think?

We were without a computer for a few weeks at the beginning of December, so we didn't get to send anyone any holiday greetings to let them know we were still around.

Because I neglected her, Lacey thought I didn't want to be her boyfriend any more and she moved on. My fault for not paying attention to her. That happens with humans too, I'm told. I regret losing her.

But the big news of the day is that Cricket has graciously consented to be my new Valentine!!!! I am simply thrilled! How did I get so lucky? She is just gorgeous! Check my page in the very near future. I have asked Foxy to make a picture of the two of us.

My Fangs!

Hey everyone! I was at the dogtor last week. He says I am healthy enough to have my fangs cleaned! I guess the brain damage I have is going away. I take steroids to keep the swelling in my brain down, but I only get a fourth of a tablet twice a week. Doc Tate says I probably will have to always take the medicine, but it is such a small amount that it will not hurt me at all. Now I can have all of my shots, have my teeth cleaned, and get the "Big Snip" like all of my brothers. Sorry ladies! No more Peanut sleeping pictures like the one on my page. Oh, well.

Greater Yellowstone Wolves Delisted
The Bush/Cheney administration has just eliminated federal protections for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, opening the door to the slaughter of hundreds of America's most beloved wolves.

This decision leaves the region's wolves at the mercy of outrageous state management plans that could lead to the killing of all but 300 wolves – eliminating EIGHTY PERCENT of all the wild wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies.

We need to let the Bush/Cheney administration know that we strongly oppose this decision to remove Greater Yellowstone wolves from the list of federally protected threatened and endangered species.

Catching Up on Stuff

Everyone should belong to Pommie Love. This is the most awesome group on Dogster. My momma got burned all over her back on October 29. She had to go to the hospital and stay there for almost two weeks. The love and support we all got from Pommie Love members was amazing. The took up a collection and sent gifts for mommie and us fur babies. We got fresh fruit, a lovely plant, and lots of other treats in a very pretty basket. Earlier in the year, we got blankets and homemade treats from the administrators of the group. At Christmas, we had a Secret Santa drawing. That was soooo much FUN! Lately we have been playing games online with each other Everyone should join us. We have over 250 members now.

There is a swell brand new group that is growing fast. It is Pomeranians of the World. This is a fun group too. We have games, and all kings of other helpful group threads. We all help and support each other. I looked today and we have grown to 65 members.

Mommie is doing better now, but it takes a long time for burns to heal -- much longer than other surgical procedures. She is back at work, but still moving slowly. She cannot do foster work any more, but she will start helping at Stray Rescue when spring gets here.

Update on me: I haven't had a seizure since last summer. Doc keeps adjusting my medicine and I'm feeling just fine!!

Whew! It takes a lot of work for a little guy like me to do all this typing! I'm gonna take a nap. Later!!
