Peanut enjoys being loved for the first time in his life. He also loves cream cheese, which always has his medicine inside.

This little guy does not like it when strangers try to touch him.

He loves his chew sticks.
Favorite Food:
Science Diet Advanced Protection is his favorite thing to eat, along with cream cheese, braunschweiger, and peanut butter that we use to give him his medicine.
Favorite Walk:
He likes to be in the front yard with his mom.
Best Tricks:
His brother, Oscar, taught him to turn around in front of his mommie when he wants her to pick him up.
Arrival Story:
I was a foster mom for a local small-breed rescue -- Trixie's Angels Rescues. Peanut came under my care on February 28, 2007, and I have since adopted him.
UPDATE: Peanut suffered brain damage from being mistreated by his former owner. Who could do that? He was thrown forcefully and was unconscious for a time. He became dizzy on Sunday, fell, and was not breathing. We did CPR and rushed him to the doctor. UPDATE: He is back to his old self, thanks to Dr. Tate at Webster Groves Animal Hospital. He still has brain damage, but with his medicine, he can still enjoy being a dog. Thank you everyone for your prayers. We know it helped.
Bio:
Peanut was starving when we rescued him. He was skin and bones and was so frightened of humans that we were worried that his anxiety would damage his little heart. This sweet little lover boy has come a long way since his rescue and is learning to trust his new mom. He was neglected and abused, so it will take time and baby steps for him to realize that he will never be hungry or smacked again. I don't understand how anyone could be mean to such a gentle little angel.
