Arrival Story:
We adopted Buddy from a local shelter when he was about four months old. I volunteered at the shelter and knew when his litter of labrador/chow pups was brought in. The first time I saw Buddy, he was sitting in a roll-cage in the hallway. It was the first time he had been separated from his siblings. We adopted him in the next couple of days!

Bio:
Buddy is terrified of thunderstorms, so he goes into the "PR" (Panic Room) when a storm is on its way. The "PR" is our laundry room which has no windows in it, only a nightlight. Buddy feels safe in the "PR," maybe because it's insulated from the sound of the thunder and the sight of the lightning, and also because the room is like a cave: dark and cool. The booger-man won't get Buddy as long as he's in his PR! :-)

Forums Motto:
Got Black Dogs?

Adopt Big Black Dogs!:
Since big black dogs are often "a dime-a-dozen" at animal shelters, they're often the last to be adopted. If you're looking to adopt a dog, give that big black dog a good look. Take him/her for a walk, or spend a few minutes playing together. You just might wind up adopting a delightful furry companion who will love you with all his heart! :-) Go, Big Black Dogs!
