It's been a year....wow!

Hi Pals,
We just realized it's been a year since we last chatted....what's up with that.
Today is Ruby's second birthday....hurray!!!!We are snowed in here in the Northeast but it is really beautiful. We are fortunate to still have electricity and heat and of course chow, but most of all Mom is home because of a snow day so we are getting extra snuggle time.
We are looking forward to spring so we can play and play in the sunshine, we don't care that much for the cold.
We hope all of our pup pals are well and happy and we will chat with you soon...really....we mean it this time.

WOW! It has been a long time.

Time does fly when you are having fun...with the Bassets of course. We have not chatted with all of you since Ruby came to live with us.
Well, Ruby has added a lot to our lives....and taken some things too....such as hats, shoes, reading glasses, laundry, dish towels....you get the idea. Ruby is a busy little bee and but we just love her and would not trade her for anything. She has the most loving and mischievious personality I have ever seen in any dog. The gang has welcomed her into the flock and love her as well.
Ruby has a birthday coming up this month and she will be a year old. We think we will bypass the chew toys as she has destroyed everyone's Christmas toys already...she's sorry, really.
Anyway, nice to chat with all of you and hope you are enjoying your furry babies as much as I do.

and Ruby Pearl makes 5....

Hi Pals,
Just wanted to let all of you know that we have a new sibling....her name is Ruby Pearl and she is about 5 months old. We don't know her exact birthday yet but we think it was in February, we will get some paperwork on her soon.
She just came to live with us yesterday and we love her already. She is a beautiful red and white basset baby (she looks like Clyde only tiny). She has gotten into mischief already and gotten us all into trouble. She has plenty to learn and we will help her like good big brothers and sisters.
We are going to try and get a group picture to put on our page but until then we will put a pix of Ruby up so you can see just how cute she is.

Happy Howlidays!

We would like to wish all of our friends at Dogster a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We are getting ready for the holidays...stealing cookies, checking out the christmas tree, playing in the snow and hoping Santa leaves us a toy or two.
We all have been very good...minding our manners and not ripping too many things apart. Mom thinks we are good all the time and that we are just the cutest things ever.

Long Time No Bark!

Hi Pals,
It's been a long time since we barked at you. We have been very busy.
We have had some people party stuff going on that is keeping our "fave four" busy too! Showers and weddings and a baby coming soon.
Not to mention we have been partying too....our birthdays! Bonnie and Clyde turned one and Moe and Zoe turned two. Mom and Dad got us our very own bone-shaped birthday cake from our favorite store. It was delicious and all ours!
Oh yeah, our yearly visit to our favorite Vet...shots...yikes!
Clyde is a little on the heavy side so the rest of us are trying to get him moving more. He is a litte slower than the rest of us 'cause he has a crooked front leg. We really don't want to give up our weekend pancakes so we hope he will keep up with us.
Well we need to get back to what we do best...eat, bark, sleep and of course, snuggle.

It's Hot!

Hi everyone,
Boy is it getting hot! More ice cubes for us please...

Well Mom and Dad got our pictures from the photographer and boy we are just as cute in pictures as we are in real life. We are going to be hanging all over the living room walls. Our big sister is getting a place of her own so she will probably want to have pictures of us all over the place too.

The Pawty!

Hey everyone,
Well we went to the pawty and had a wonderful time (Mom and Dad got a workout with us four on leashes).
We got our picture taken. We promised Mom we would behave so she could have professional pictures of us. She is very proud of us. Watch out family there will be pictures of us flying everywhere!

We have a new friend that just moved next door to us. She is a Beagle named Bailey and she is very cute (looks a little like us). We are trying not to be so barky and scare her, we want her to be our pal.

Well we have lots of Basset things to get at so we will bark at you again real soon.

Summertime, Summertime, Sum Sum Summertime

Wow, it's been a long time since we barked at everyone.
We have been really busy but I am not sure doing what!

Our Mom and Dad made us a special treat for the hot weather.
They froze baby carrots in small tubs of water and then when they are solid, they take them out of the bowls and put them outside in one of our food dishes for us to lick and lick until the carrots come out....this is a really great treat on a hot day.

We are hoping to go to a Birthday Pawty this weekend at our favorite pet store. They are having a BBQ and special birthday cake just for us furry critters. My Mom wants us to get our picture taken with the photographer that will be there....we will try to behave!

Our big sister is home!

Finally, our big sister is home from college. We are so excited. She spoils us rotten. She may need some retraining but she is a smart girl and it won't be long before she is butter in our paws again.
We have a new favorite thing to do....chomp ice cubes! They are like chilly bones on a hot day. Bonnie resembles a chipper/shredder when she gets after them...pieces flying everywhere.
This is Bonnie and Clyde's first real heat wave and they have discovered how wonderful it is to lay under the ceiling fan and take a nap (don't forget to turn on the stereo).
A couple weeks ago we thought we might rescue a little basset boy that needed a new home. Well....he came to visit and we were very rude and Bonnie was down right mean. Needless to say we would not accept him, so our Mom called her friends (basset lovers too) and he had a forever home the next day with a new brother and sister and they love him alot so all is well.
Well it's time the "Hounds of the Bakkervilles" got busy with their playtime.

New Friends

We are so happy to be making all these new friends from Dogster!
This is one of the best things we have gotten our mom into. We are making so many cute furry friends we just can't believe it. It's nice to know that there are others out there with great big hearts just like ours.
