They love to race through the entire house, out the doggie doors and in to their play yard.

Opening gates that aren't supposed to be opened.
Arrival Story:
After losing our 13 year old basset Pandy, the house was just not right. We went on the hunt for "another" basset. After looking at several adorable babies we found a brother and sister, Moe & Zoe, and the rest is history...well, sort of.
We kept in touch with the breeder (as she loves to know how her basset babies are doing) throughout the year and at about the time Moe & Zoe had their first birthday, we got a call from the breeder. She had just had several new puppies and for some unknown reason a little brother and sister to ours were born with vision impairment. She offered the pair to us as she needed to find them a home that didn't mind a little imperfection. Of course we took them, little Bonnie and Clyde arrived at our home.
And so that is how the Bakker Bassets came to be.
Bio:
Moe and Clyde love to be read to. Their favorite book is "Walter the Farting Dog".

Time does fly when you are having fun...with the Bassets of course. We have not chatted with all of you since Ruby came to live with us.
Well, Ruby has added a lot to our lives....and taken some things too....such as hats, shoes, reading glasses, laundry, dish towels....you get the idea. Ruby is a busy little bee and but we just love her and would not trade her for anything. She has the most loving and mischievious personality I have ever seen in any dog. The gang has welcomed her into the flock and love her as well.
Ruby has a birthday coming up this month and she will be a year old. We think we will bypass the chew toys as she has destroyed everyone's Christmas toys already...she's sorry, really.
Anyway, nice to chat with all of you and hope you are enjoying your furry babies as much as I do.

Hi Pals,
Just wanted to let all of you know that we have a new sibling....her name is Ruby Pearl and she is about 5 months old. We don't know her exact birthday yet but we think it was in February, we will get some paperwork on her soon.
She just came to live with us yesterday and we love her already. She is a beautiful red and white basset baby (she looks like Clyde only tiny). She has gotten into mischief already and gotten us all into trouble. She has plenty to learn and we will help her like good big brothers and sisters.
We are going to try and get a group picture to put on our page but until then we will put a pix of Ruby up so you can see just how cute she is.
We will all bark at you soon.

We would like to wish all of our friends at Dogster a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
We are getting ready for the holidays...stealing cookies, checking out the christmas tree, playing in the snow and hoping Santa leaves us a toy or two.
We all have been very good...minding our manners and not ripping too many things apart. Mom thinks we are good all the time and that we are just the cutest things ever.
Hope everyone is healthy and happy this holiday season.
