Arrival Story: I was at the pound working and they had brought him and a pitbull in the day before. They were told that He was mean and didn't get along with any other dog but the Pit.
I spent a few minutes in the kennel with him by himself, and I Knew automatically that there was no way he could hurt a flea.
I brought him home, and after he was here for about a week, I noticed he was coughing alot.
We visited the vet, and he did tests on him. We found out he had heartworms, and he has congestive heart failure.
My husband had always wanted a boxer, Boxie isn't as young as he wanted but My hubby loves Boxie to death, so he would never let him go.
If he would have stayed at the pund, he chances of finding a home, were about 15% and that is giving him an actually chance of hope.
So he is deffinately here for the rest of his life.
He looks 100% better then when he came here.
He had several pressure sores on his hind from not having anything to sleep on but concrete.
He no longer has to worry about that though.

Bio: The pics from 3-8-2007 are from the first day we had him.
He looks pretty bad.
I only have a few new ones of him, I have to adjust them to fit on here. He looks allot better now.

Friday evening we came home from a short shopping trip, when we went to feed the dog's my husband found Boxie, He had passed away. I assume he died in his sleep, he looked like he always did when he was sleeping sound. It completely broke my heart. I would not do anything over, but I wish I had only one day back. The day before he passed away. I missed my chance to give him one last hug.
He in heaven now, and healthy no more worries about his heart.
I miss my buddy.

Forums Motto: I love to be hugged.
