My New Home.....

I am in my new home!!! I am living w/ two Rottie's - Eric and Murphy. Eric is keeping me in check - he is a tad older and does not like to play to much. Murphy is a young gun like me. I have a doggie door so that I can go in and out - I love to lay in the sun.

Time does fly.....

when you are dog of the week. I would like to thank the people at Dogster for this honor. I am thankful for all of the new pals I have made and for treats and gifts I received. I will remember how Mr. Sixx and I - both New Orleans guys, served as Dog of the Day and Dog of the Week! That was so AWESOME!!!!

I would to like to mention some very special people in my life - much love to Leslie, for all that you do for us Bassets, we could never thank you enough. Best of luck to you and the Looziana Bayou Basset Boggie!!! I would like to say thanks to all the people who love and care for all of dogs and who wish that they could do more..........

Oh, WHAT A WEEK!!!

So much has happened since I was named Dog of the Week! First, I would like to thank all my new Puppy Pals - the feeling of love is very overwhelming and thank you for asking Katie and Amos to be pals as well.

I would also like to thank all the people that have given me the rosettes and the special messages - Mom and Dad read all of them to me - they are very touched from the notes that people are sending. They also send their gratitude!!!!!

The night I was named Dog of the Week, Mom and Dad took me to the Dog Park and told everyone!!! We stayed for 2 1/2 hours - Boy, did I have a great time. My good friend Feliz was there, Ally and Finley, Jack, Laya - who is the sweetest gal and I met a new friend Nora and her Dad, Daniel - they are both super great!!! I see Mom and Dad laughing - I think that it is because they like to see me having so much fun! I hear Mom say that she loves to watch me run. They cannot believe how fast I go.

We had so much fun that as soon as we got home Mom gave all three of us a bath - that was not fun. I have to admit that it did feel great once we were all clean and dry.

Friday night we were at the park again!!! Mom and Dad brings water for all the dogs to drink - I think so that they will stay around longer and play!!! Saturday - Dad brought us to the park with some treats - I think that we were the most popular dogs there. Dad went to the store and bought us some new food that will not make us sick - we even got these new treats that are sooooooooooo goood!!!!

I can't explain how lucky I feel to have been given this honor. I will cherish this memory for the rest of my life. I would like to tell all my new puppy pals, the pals that gave me rosettes and treats that you will always be a Dog of the Week in my heart and the heart of Mom, Dad, Katie and Amos. We think that you all are all awesome!!!!

WOW!

My Mom talked to my Dad and he is as excited as she is! He thought she did something special to make me DOG OF THE WEEK! Like, I am not special enough?!?!?!?! She quickly told him that I did it all on my own.

Dad rushed Mom off the phone so that he could run and tell all of his coworkers about me and this wonderful honor.

Mom keeps checking the site to make sure it is true! She cannot believe all the treats and gifts I am receiving! She thanks you, Dad thanks you and most of all I thank you!

I would like share a special thank you and blessing to Leslie at Looziana Basset Rescue for placing me with my family and for all the years she has spent taking care of all my basset brothers and sisters. Thank you Leslie!

My Mom was at work and wanted to see if my family and I had any new messages and that is when she saw that I was named DOG OF THE WEEK! She is so excited she cannot contain herself! AND what a day to be named DOG OF THE WEEK - on my Aunt Chloe's birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!! Hi Colin!

I would like to say hello to ALL of my wonderful pup pals that I have made here during my SHORT (sorry for the pun!) time on dogster.com and lots of love and kisses to Katie and Amos. Thank you for sharing your home with me!

Thank you so much for this honor - my family and I are so excited that I was named DOG OF THE WEEK! I really thought that it was a far off dream - maybe one day......WOW! I still cannot believe it.
