My best friend, Rolo

lost his battle with a brain tumor on april 20, 2009. I will always cherish our memories. There will never be another...be at peace sweet roy.

Hybrid of Sorts

I've realized that I have a multitude of species in my little Rolo. At times he looks or reminds me of other animals and the list keeps on growing. I'll add more as they come to mind, but for now Rolo exudes the following:

-cat
-squirrel
-mink
-fox
-mouse (when he sleeps i picture him in a box of matches)
-moray eel...ok, it's getting more abstract, but it's in the eyes, mini teeth and lower lip when he's play biting)

Monkey Eyes

Rolo has had two out of three private training sessions and is doing great! So far he's learned the sit and down commands. Now I'm working on him looking at me when I call his name. Not that after 4 yrs. he doesn't know his name, but you know what I mean...selective hearing and all. Now I've got his little "monkey eyes" full attention..sort of.
