The family relegated Wheezer to a single room with a crate for several years until a friend of the family convinced them that was no way for her to live and let her place the dog. I was working with Russell Rescue at the time, and she was brought in as a foster. I decided to not place her through the rescue, because she was so timid. We decided after a couple of weeks to keep her, because she'd been through so much, and became so attached to her new daddy that we just couldn't let her go somewhere else.
