Arrival Story:
Adopted February 2007. Malcolm is 10 1/2 & has health issues. & an undiagnosed skin condition. When he was dropped off at the humane society he barely had any fur & scratched a lot. (still does for now) & only weighed 39 pounds. His owner said she couldn't take care of him anymore because of the medical costs. I knew he would have a tough time at his age finding a good, caring home. When I first saw his picture I knew he was meant to be with us. ...& here he is. * * * **Read his diary to see his progress. & click on his "Dogster Plus Photo Book" for more pictures. __________________________________ ___ Sandi, Malcolm's foster mom before I adopted him, deserves a lot of credit for taking him home every night & giving him & all of the other dogs at the Humane Society so much love & caring. It takes someone special to do her job. The Humane Society & all of the dogs there are lucky to have Sandi.

Today is Malcolm's 1st full day with us. He's very sweet. Has barely said boo & is sleeping a lot right now. He loves attention & being petted. & loves his new bed. He will be going to the vet in a couple of days to see if we can figure out his skin condition & help him get better. He wears a doggy sweater to keep warm because of such thin fur & many bald spots. We are going to work on getting him a nice shiny coat too. He doesn't have any front upper or lower teeth. They are nubs. --BUT! He has no problem chewing anything! ______________________________ Update 8/20/2008-Malcolm weighs 52 pounds now. A healthy weight for him.

Malcolm's foster mom Sandi came to visit a few weeks ago. Malcolm showed her his stuff. Running in the back yard. It was a really nice visit.
He also got a new bandana (his security blanket) Red, white and blue.
And he got a bath today. Too much people food. His allergies flared up.
Now we just need to get him in for a nail trim soon.

Mom gave me a bath today.
My allergies are really flaring up. I've been scratching a lot so I got a bath & got some leave in medicated conditioner put on my coat & skin to help my allergies.
Mom also washed my bed blanket.

Mom took me & Dutch to the vet the other day. We got our nails trimmed. Mine grow fast.
We got a treat when we got home for being good.
Grandma's been coming over & we ALWAYS get a treat from her.
