Outside!

I've been spending a lot of time outside so I haven't had time to write here very often. My mum has been taking me out every day we're not at daddy's house, to the dog park with lots of other dogs to play with.

Yesterday we went and this border collie wouldn't even let me say hi to her mum and it made me sad cause I kept telling her I only wanted to say hi, but she was selfish.

Then yesterday there was Milo, a boxer and we played a lot and his mummies and daddy loved me lots too.

Today we went again and Mommy watched me wrestle with Maggie. Maggie is the most popular dog in the park. Everyone loves to play with her but today when we got there, she and I got to be the only ones! So we wrestled and barked and play growled a lot and I had a great time!

Momma also got me a seatbelt for in the car so I don't always need my kennel anymore! Wow! That was totally cool. So I just got to chill on the back seat just like anyone else would, so mom could drive me to the park.

And mom got me a feeder toy too! She put my food in it toy and I got to roll it around till it all came out and now there's a treat in there I can't quite get out and I'm working on it!

Park day!

Mom tries to take me to the park whenever we're at OUR house and not the place we stay sometimes during the week. She says it will be good for me to be around other dogs and people, but the first time we went there were tons of REALLY BIG dogs and I was scared and they wouldn't leave me alone. Especially the big dane that could have eaten me in one bite!

But we went to the park again today and mom let me go off the leash just like last time, only there weren't so many dogs there last time and while mom talked to some really nice other hooman mommy and daddys about their pup-kids, I got to meet a real Catahoula Leopard Dog!

His name was Truman and he was really neat! He helped me feel OK to play with the other dogs. At first he was rough and I got scared but his mom FLIPPED HIM OVER right in front of me and let me sniff him all over!

By the end of the day I got to play with the big dogs and I wrestled with Truman a lot and had a really good time.

So good I didn't want to leave. But then mom was mad at me because I wasn't listening on the leash and she made us go home instead of walk through the park some more like last time.

I was sad about that, and I'm trying harder on the leash all the time now, so I can get to have lots of park-time!

But I did do really good with the other dogs and hooman mommys and daddys today!

I got smarts!

Mama says I am a very smart boy. She says that I am very "impressive" because I love my mama so much where would I want to be but playing with her? She has not put me on the walkie rope in two whole days for me to go outside! I always listen and come right to her when she says my name because I love it when she says I am a smart boy! My mama makes me feel really good. I like making her happy.

Sunshine!

We spent all weekend at the other place and I wasn't too happy about it because Stormy was away for most of the time and I was a little bad. I just wanted my momma to come home and play with me!

But then when she came back last night she put me in the box in the car and we drove for awhile. It was long and I was bored but then we got back to my house! Oh the smells and the grass and the mud and my walkie place! I missed it!

So then today momma put me in the box in the car and said we were gonna go somewhere fun. We drove around and momma said we were lost a lot, and then she took me in this place with LOTS of other dogs!

There were too many, it was kinda scary and I didn't like it much. So them momma just took me outside for a long walk. We walked for HOURS!

Now we're home again and I'm feeling a little worn out. That's funny, cause momma says she still has to take a walk somewhere else... I think I'll take a nap...

UGH the box!

Stormy put me in the box! She says I need to calm down cause she doesn't like it when I chew on her arm much... but I was just a little bored... I have lots of energy today and I was a real good boy when we went to meet the vet!

She was real nice, but she pressed on my belly a lot and checked my tail and stuff and that wasn't too much fun. Then mommy picked me up and I roared at her a little, like a lion from TV!

But then we got to go home and run around in the mud! And we got to run around and meet one of the neighbor dogs, Curby!

Mumma made me stay in the box for awhile then and I whined a lot and she told me to take a nap but I dun wanna! Momma is there so I wanna be!

And then she let me get outta the box and play with a towel and give her kisses!

She says I am a really good boy.

I love Stormy-mamma.

What a day!

Today was a really big day for me! I got up really early and my friend Kari picked me up and gave me a bath and brushed me all up and made me look super great. I loved the attention and of course did my best to charm!

Then I got whisked off in the car. I've been in the car before Sometimes we go to the vet in the car, only this time, Sam and Charley and Max and Rosey weren't with me! I was worried about them cause what would they do if I wasn't around to charm snacks off of someone for them?

Things got a little scary for awhile. I got put into a little box and I didn't like that much, but I'm a good boy so I was quiet, and then these guys drove me to this BIG, LOUD, SCARY place!

I got put in the dark! I was really scared but there was this other pup, a little dog not the same as me but pretty like me, that was there too and we kept each other company. There were really weird noises all around and at one point everything was shaking! Wow! What a rush. I couldn't sleep for hours and then before I knew it, this nice guy with a hat was coming to take me and the other pup out of the dark. Everything was a LITTLE too bright, at first, but then things were OK.

Everything smelled weird and it was still loud and there were LOTS of people everywhere, and then we went into this office and this lady opened up my cage and started to pet me and she got my fur all wet and it tasted like salt! It was really weird, but then she held me and it was really comfortable and she pet my ears and I really love that a lot!

She put me back in the box and we walked somewhere -hump- I think I'm not likin' that box so much.

But she let me out again outside. It was bright and loud and I was a little scared, but she held me and talked to me and I think I like this lady. I miss Kari a little bit though.

We had a long drive in the car again and I took a nap because I was so wiped out!

When the car stopped, this lady, Stormy, she got me out of the box again and we went into this weird place! She got me a really nice collar and a leash that's the same and even a little gold heart with my whole name on it!

Wow! It was so cool and I wasn't even afraid of the REALLY BIG DOG that was there even though he was all bouncy and stuff.

Stormy showed me how to walk on a leash and she said I was a good boy a lot! I was so happy and I smiled for her till she put me back in the box. Definitely not liking that box!

But then we went to a warm place that smelled like her all over. There are other things here! Cats like back home! Whoa, but the one is definitely not wanting to be friends! She hit me on the nose!

Stormy said I'm a really good boy. I stay right near her and I don't bite and she said I even did my business in the right place! Woof! I'm exhausted and gonna go lay down for a bit.

Stormy put a pillow and a jacket that smells like her and my wooly man and a warm puppy and my calve's hoof in the box with me but I'm ready to take a nap for awhile!

Stormy says I can play and go outside again later before it's light's out for everyone.

It was a really cool day! I miss my brothers and sisters, but I think I'm gonna like it here.
