Arrival Story:
I picked Darby up from the shelter just in the nick of time on March 20, 1999. I had to get him by 4:30 pm or he was going down.

Bio:
Darby was left tied in the back yard of his home when his owners moved. Neighbors turned him into the shelter where he sat until his time was up. Boxer Rescue was called as he was going to be euthanized. I was a new volunteer to boxer rescue and he was my first assignment. He has lived with us ever since. It wasn't easy at first because he was very depressed and was suffering from separation anxiety. We stuck with him and by him even though family and friends thought we should get rid of him because of his destruction to our home. I knew if we gave up on him, he would be put down. I'm so glad we didn't because he did overcome his anxiety after a one and half years and he is just my heart and soul. I know that sounds cheesy but it's true.
