Being adorable and sit.

Arrival Story:
I went to the shelter to write a story for my Journalism class and was conducting the interview in the shelter office. I heard a little puppy yelp from behind me and turned around and saw the most beautiful English(Llewellin) Setter and her puppies. I fell in love right then and there. I saw the littlest one trying to stand up and walk and she would promptly fall over. My heart melted, and I knew I had to have her. The office worker said that they had just opened their eyes the day before and that they were two weeks old. I came back 6 days later and filled out an application. She came home 4 weeks later after being fostered with her mom and siblings.

Holly is a lovebug. She may be young, but she has such a personality! I can't wait to watch her grow up!

Micro-Chip...sounds tastier than it is...

I went back to the shelter today to get my micro-chip. It sounds like a yummy treat, doesn't it? It wasn't. It was a big ole needle! EEP! But I was a good girl and I only cried a little bit. And now if I get lost and someone brings me somewhere with a scanner, mommy can find me again! Mom also found out that my pungppy brother found his furever home like me and my sister went to rescue! HOORAY!!!! We are also 99% sure that I am part hound (enter Elvis song here.) Possibly Treeing Walker Coonhound, whatever that is. But it sounds pretty cool.

Yesterday I went to the vet and that was pretty fun. My vet is SUPER nice and gives me all sorts of cookies and kisses. I think she love me almost as much as my mommy does! She said I have puppy vaginitis, but that it should clear up on its own.

Everywhere we go people comment on what a pretty girl I am. Mommy thinks my ego is getting big because I prance around like I am hot stuff. Hehe. Our vet's office is also a Doggie Daycare and they're having an Easter egg hunt on Saturday that mom might take Peanut and I to. Oh I hope so. I hear they put nummies in Easter eggs. And I hear the Easter bunny is one cool guy.

Housetraining is going ok. My tummy is getting more used to my new food so I'm pooping less, so yay for that! AND BEST OF ALL Peanut has finally decided to be friends with me! We have been having so much fun doing zoomies around the house lately. YAY ZOOMIES!

Good girl!

Mommy said I was a good girl! I went into my crate all by myself to take a nap-aroo! I was better last night and I didn't whine AS much, except this morning. I just wanted OUT! It was time to PLAY PLAY PLAY! I'm still working on this thing called housetraining. My little head can't get wrapped around it yet, but mommy is patient, and I'm doing better every day. The one thing I do that annoys my mommy the most though, is when i nip her. Can't she see I'm just trying to pay with her! Apparently my teeth are really sharp. My mommy thinks that I'm going to be a great dog one day, but we have a lot of work to do!

Since Thursday...

On Thursday my new mom brought me home. She says she's been waiting and waiting for me! I'm doing my best to be a cute and good little puppy, but there are just things that I don't understand. I miss my furblings a lot and I cry for them at night. I have some lungs on my, and mommy thinks I might have some hound or beagle in me because I howl. AROOOOOO!!! During private play time in my room, I have figured out how to climb ontop of my crate. It must be the Setter in me, hehe. Mom already knows she's going to have her hands full, but oh boy are we going to have fun! She also put this crazy thing on me called a "collar". I just can't get used to it! I scratch at it and roll around, but for some reason, it just won't come off!! Mommy says its so that if I get lost people will know where I belong. Moooom, I'm only a baby...I can't get very far. Duh. I guess I need to get used to it now for when I'm older. Silly humans. But one things for sure, mine loves me very much!
