Today I'm very sad. I just learned one of my good friends went to Rainbow Bridge. My friend's name is Albus. You may have ready about his wonderful heartfelt story. Every since I learned of the special dog I've been obsessed. I was constantly checking in on him to make sure he was ok. Something about him just grabbed me and my family. My mom has had Rescue's before but Albus really touched her. Luckily, Albus went to a great home where he was given sooo much love and attention. Albus' foster just suffered another great loss just a few weeks ago. I think we should all recognize what great human people they are. They take in animals like Albus and Tanoshi who have problems that other people wouldn't want to deal with. Please check their pages and give them all the support you can. They really are great human people and have really suffered a loss. If I may copy Albus's entries:
My Name was Albus and I will ALWAYS be loved!!!

Ruff Ruff to all my pup pals. Been a long time since I barked a line. My family was back in Georgia for awhile so not much to bark about. Back in the sunny keys for a few weeks so there's much to yelp about. Sunny days and lazy days at the beach. Wish you could all be here to swim in the ocean with me. Can always use extra friends to play with. Bark back soon.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My mommy can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs,
she's tucked in tight,
And here is where I pass the night.
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and I want food!
I sneak up slowly and it begins
My nibbles on my mommy's chin.
She wakes up slowly and smiles and shouts,
"You darling beast! Just cut it out!"
But morning's here and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you, Lord, for giving me
This human person that I see
The one who hugs and holds me tight
and shares her bed with me at night!

Hi to all my paw pals,
I'm so excited to share my news. I CAN RUN AGAIN. I CAN GO TO THE DOG PARK AGAIN. It's been soooo long. I've been playing, and playing, and playing. Me and Sif get to wrestle again and I can do the boot scoot(hucklebutt) again. It doesn't hurt to put my foot down anymore. Well thanks for sharing the good news with me and thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
Until we bark again,
Thor

Hi everyone,
Wanted to update on Thor's leg. Mother's Day Thor started chewing at his foot again. This went on until Monday. We finally decided to take off the 2nd splint to make sure we didn't have another infection. We knew we could just go get it put back on. When we took it off Thor had skin missing on both sides of his ankles where the plastic had rubbed him raw. We went back to the Orthopedic and he said we couldn't put anything on it now. He didn't believe we needed anything to support Thor's leg anymore. Thor cannot run, jump or play for two more weeks just to make sure he's in the safe zone and the bone had healed as well as the screw holes. Afterwards, he can be controlled walked on a leash for 3 weeks only 15-20 mins at a time. Finally, in 5 weeks he will be back to normal. Poor guy. I know it's been tough on him. Please keep your fingers crossed.

Hey pals,
I haven't written an update for me since my surgery on 4/30/07. I had my plates removed as you all know. Well I came home on Wednesday 5/1/07. I was a little wrecked but I did fine. Friday my mom noticed I was licking my foot alot. Come Saturday she noticed a funny smell and my toes were swollen really big. She tried to cut away some of the cast without much success. I was miserable and kept trying to lick it and kick off the sock. Come Sunday I couldn't control my wild animal inside. My dad was out of town and my mom called and said get home. Here comes a trip to the ER where they removed the cast and added the ugly one. My toes were very infected because my cast was way tight. Now I have more meds and my toes have to be played with 2 times a day. It's ok though since I feel much better. If all goes well (hope) then I will get my cast off and be better for good with this leg. I'll keep woo posted.
Until we bark again,
Thor

Hello Paw Pals,
I wanted to update you on Thor's leg. He went in for surger 5/1/07 Tues. They had to remove the steel plate and screws from his leg. As in my last post the reason was because it was to close to the surface which gave him no range of motion and tenderness. They removed all his equipment yesterday and come to find out the leg had a hair line fracture that had not healed even though they thought it had. Now my poor Thor has been shaved again, cut open and bandaged and has to wear a splint for 2-3 wks to keep the leg from breaking again. I can't wait until this is all over for him. He has been very miserable for 9 weeks with this plate and now this. I'll keep everyone posted.
Until we bark again,
Thor

Today I went back to the orthopedic for my 8 week check up. My doc said I have to have more surgery to make my leg better. When I had the plate put in my leg the doc said it would heal nicely. Well, 8 weeks later and I still can't touch it or bump it because it hurts so bad. Apparently my leg is to sensitive to the plate and it is to close to the surface. Since all the breaks have healed nicely I should be able to use it within a couple of weeks. Hooray!!! After 2 1/2 months I'll finally be able to run and go to the dog park without any worries. Wish me luck pals. My mom is so nervous about me going thru this again. She knew something was wrong even though everybody told her she was just a worry wart. I tell her things will finally be better after this.
On a good note. I have lots more friends. I have to say I think Albus is my favorite even though I love you all. If you haven't seen Albus I think you should check him out. He is one tough senior with great NEW parents who have finally showed him love and rescued him from 9 years of hell. WOOF WOOF to our good buddy.
We are diving again this weekend and we just got back from the Marina. Mommy likes to take us there so we can run and walk in the stinky water. (That part she doesn't like). I think she takes us there just so she can take pictures. She drives us crazy with that but we love her. Well to all of my friends I will say "WOOF WOOF PALS. UNTIL WE BARK AGAIN!!!!!

These are a few pics from my vacation in the keys this weekend. My pictures were taken at the Marina. I really love going there. I can get off my leash and run, run, run. There's so much to do there. We usually go every weekend. My mommy says when my leg gets better we can start going to the dog park again. I really miss that. I love playing with other dogs. Hopefully in a few weeks. I really enjoyed the keys and wish you could have been there.
Until we bark again,
Thor

Check out my new show. My mom thinks I'm so adorable she tried to make a star out of me. We had fun taking the pics for the slide show. I'm so adorable and such a poser.
The past few weeks have been great. I've had great weather to play and lay around in. My leg is healing slowly but surely. My sis (Sif) hurt it the other day by running into it at full speed. That set me back on recovery. The doc says it shouldn't take but a couple of months to heal. Within six I'll be back to normal. Hopefully.
Until we bark again.
Woof Woof,
Thor
