A Trying Last Month

Hi all!! Even though im an active Dogster member....I dont really have a good record of writing in my little Journal here, so after the past month or so my family has had soooo many things going on that I thought I should update.

My furless sister had quite the scare when she fell at school and hit her head. After a CatScan and MRI the docs wanted her to go see a specialist cuz they said her pituitary gland was larger than it should be. But after more tests, nothing is showing up so all they can do is wait and in about 6 months they will give her another MRI and compare the two. The problem is she has braces and because she does, it distorts the MRI image so there not sure if she has an enlarged gland ( which could mean a tumor) or if it just looks enlarged.

My beautiful sisfur Mikah is now only with us in our hearts. For unknown reasons her and my other sisfur Kila started fighting and it got to the point they couldnt be in the same room. We had all lived and played together just fine for the three months we had her but one day they started fighting and after exahustive efforts to figure out why and solve the problem, we had to find her a new home. Our hearts are broken cuz she was the sweetest girl and we had all grown to love her so very much. Even though our hearts are broken, we have found out sometimes you have to let go of the things you love.

When I was about a year old I had a golf ball size tumor removed from my back hind leg. It turned out to be a cancerous tumor but the vet said they thought they got it all and that I should be good as new. Well about two months ago Mommy noticed a small lump on my chest/front leg area about the size of a pea. Well, this past Wednesday I had it removed and the pathology report wont be back for at least a week, so were keeping our fingers crossed that it wasnt also a cancerous tumor.

So life has really been a journey this past month or so in our family. I guess God only gives us what we can handle ,and were trying our best!

VACATION!!!!!!

Mommy and Daddy went on Vacation the week of July 14th.....and so did I!!!! They couldnt take me with them so about a month earlier I had to go to a place where I got an interview to see if I would be able to be boarded there while they were gone. They only take doggies that are well socialized and play well with other doggies.
Well to nobodys suprise....I passed!!! The day they left they took me to the place where I would be staying....called Camp Bow-Wow. Its about and hour and a half from our house and was a little out of the way from where they were going but mommy said she wasnt gonna leave me in just any regular old kennel. You see, at this place you get to play all day with other doggies your size and are only in your oversized kennel at mealtime and to sleep at night. I dont like to be in a kennel so it worked out well for me. We even got a camp treat before bedtime!! How cool is that???? I also enjoyed playing with all the other doggies. Where I live there are no dog parks for me to play at so it was real nice to be able to play with doggies like myself. Infact.... when they dropped me off there were four other chocolate labbies there playin!!! OOOOHHHH.....and the bestest part of all......mommie and daddy could get on the internet and watch me play. It was neat cuz they could keep an eye on me and make sure that I was happy and that made them feel better bout leavin me.
I love my pawrents soooo much for lovin me enough to make sure im happy. I had a great time on vacation (probably more fun than them) and cant wait to go again!!!

My 4th Birthday!!!

Well, mommy says Im a BIG BOY now!!! I had a pawsome day!! Mommy came home from work and made me my very own barkday cake. They sang to me and everything. I also got a new toy and a bag of treats. Mommy and Daddy gave me lots of kisses and belly rubs the rest of the evening.......oooohhhh the life!!!! I was a good boy and shared my new toy with my sis too!!(Even though I didnt wanna)
May 3rd is the bestest day ever!!!!!!!!!

Sooooooo long........

Hey everyone!!!! Its been along time since I have had time to get momma to write. SOOOOO much has changed over the past couple of months. As you may have noticed, I have a new sister!!! Now lets reflect.....she was quite cute when they brought her home. Quiet and timid...well...that didnt last long!!! She can be a real humdinger!!! :) She loves to play with me but dosent realize that sometimes I just want left alone and mommy says I'm too nice to let her know when its time to quit. Mommy, Daddy and my human brother and sister say they never relaized what a good boy I was till she came along!!! No, really, she isnt bad or anything....they just have to remember to get use to the puppy thing again.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!! I sure did! Lots of pawresents....and treats :)
Mommys doggie treat business did well over the howlodays and earned us all a little extra sumtin under the tree!!!

Finally.....a nice day!!!

Today is April 30, 2006 and what a day it has been!!! Mommy and Daddy were gone most of the day yesterday but they promised me that we would be together all of today...and boy were they right. We went outside early this morning and stayed outside all day....clear till evening!!! They were working around the house and in the yard and mommy put me on a long lead. I followed her around the yard as she planted, painted and mulched. I lay for quite awhile in the front yard and watched kids go up and down the road on bikes and people out with their pets for walks.... Mommy was soooo proud of me cuz I didnt try to leave the yard...not even once!!!! Well to be truthful...I thought about it real hard though when I saw a bunny rabbit across the road but all I did was stare at it real hard till it hopped away (didnt want to dissapoint mommy) All that fresh air has made me tired and I cant wait to top the day off in my favorite spot...THE TOP OF MOMMYS HEAD IN BED!!!

Does anybody feel my pain???

Its March 15, 2007 and mommy has been getting ready for a craft show this weekend that she is in. She makes homeade doggie treats and its KILLING ME!!! I sit all day in the kitchen and watch her as she pulls all kind of yummy things out of the oven.....but she dosent even look my way! She keeps telling me that if I taste tested every batch that I would weigh 400 pounds :) She does save one of each thing she makes for me but I just dont think thats enough!! Someone please give me back my mommy......or atleast make her give me extra treats :)
