How cool is this

I just found out I've gotten my photo in the 2008 dogue de bordeaux calendar :-) :-) :-)
I was so surprised I never thought I'd get in.
Mom sent the photo in early this year and we found out last week.
Money from the calendars goes to a dogue rescue fund, I'm so happy I'll be helping other dogues find a safe and loving home.
Cant wait to see myself in print.

I passed :)

I didn't think I'd do it but I passed my basic training course. I'm so happy with myself. I learnt to sit, drop, watch, go to my mat, stay, come and even had a go at a little agilaty. It was so much fun. There was supposed to be 5 dogs in my class but all but one other dropped out, but that was ok coz I really liked Sandy (golden retrever) who stayed on till the end.
I cant wait to see her again when we start the next round of training.

Cherry eye

Well I've had a bit of a hard time lately. I woke up one morning a couple of weeks ago and I had this red lump on my eye. It didn't hurt but how could I go outside with such a thing on my pretty face.
Mom and Dad took me to a guy who I didn't like at all, he didn't even want to pat me, how rude. He said it'll cost $700 to fix, in the mean time use this cream.
Mom and Dad and alot of other ddb owners thought this was a bit pricy so Dad took me to see another man. I really liked this one, he was really nice. He said to keep trying the cream and if that doesn't work, he'll operate and it wont cost nearly that much, the other vet guy was totally ripping mom and dad off.
Well the cream didn't work so it was off for a day at the vet. They were all really nice there, I didn't even notice when they put me under and cut half my tear duct off but I did notice when I woke up I looked so much better.
It's been 2 weeks now and my cherry eye is well and truely fixed but it's off to the vet man again, for a check up (mom and dad worry about every little thing)

Training

Mom and dad took me to a new dog class last week. I got to meet some nice, but hyperactive puppys. We didn't really do anything I dont already know, like sit, drop, look, but they gave me so many treats I didn't care. And coz I'm such a laided back kinda dog, I wsa top of the class. We're going back for our next class in a couple of weeks I'm so happy.

Show time

Mom and dad took me to the doggy show grounds last weekend. we got to see lots of different show dogs, Only one Dogue de bordeaux though. And dad joined me up for the Companion dog club, so we can enter fun comps and win prizes. Sadly we didn't win Best winter dog, that one went to 2 little dogs in furry winter coats bol. But I did get to go in an obedence coarse, that was fun even if I didn't get it all right.

Halti not so bad

Ok so so I've gotten used to the halti thing, I still think it's unfair but mom says with a little more training Maddy and Me can go for walks together. Oh and I just thought I'd mention I'm finally bigger than Maddy, I knew it would happen eventually. Although she still holds me down to clean my teeth and steals my toys, and runs so fast I cant catch her.

Halti

I'm not sure if I should be happy or not mom got me a Haltli head collar today. She says it'll make walking alot easyer but how am I supposed to sniff things if I cant pull?

In trouble again

It wasn't my fault really. Mom was training Maddy outside and I just wanted to see what they were doing. How was I to know the blind would come down and get all tangled.

Puppy school

I had a great day at puppy school today, mom says I'm becoming more outgoing. I chased mom around the play area and wrestled with some new puppys.
I got a little scared when a big gray puppy ran into me but I think he came out of it worse than me, his mom had to take him home coz he hurt his leg :( he wasn't too happy about that, he still wanted to keep running.
When I got home I was too tired to even play with Maddy.
I love puppy school.
