Missing you

Ode to my sister Maxi ( for saturday the 26th)

It has been a year since you have been gone
I saw mom cry today
I know she she misses you oh so much
Each and every day
She glances up at the your photo
that is up upon the wall
She thinks no one is looking
then she walks away so tall
She then pets my on my head and says
I know you miss her too
Things are not the same around here
Together we can be blue

Jake, her son, will turn 8 that day
So for him she said she will try to smile
but behind the face of happiness
She is sad and full of sorrow
For you, Maxi, were her first dog
Something she had wanted since she was very small
A dog to call her very own
She would have taken them all

So 365 days since you have been gone
We have never stopped counting the days
We hope you are happy and running again
In and under the rainbows that you play
So to my sister, I love you so
And miss you with all my heart
I am thankful for the time we had
And so sorry when you had to part
With all of us here on Earth
Golden wags and your own special smile
We remember you in happy days
The walks we took for miles

A year has passed since you had to go
to my sister until we meet again
I will always love and miss you with all my heart
You are forever my best friend

Well I survived another birthday. I turned 5 and dad said he was not sure if I would make it to one but look I am the good dog now. The family got me a hamburger from Mcdonalds for dinner (which I loved though Halo got one too and liked it so much she tried to eat mommy's finger) Then I got a few toys...guess who is playing with them and thinks they are hers.
This month is going to get tougher for mommy though. We get to celebrate my birthday and then Jake (my human little brother ) will turn 8 this month and that is the same day that my sister Maxi went to the rainbow bridge. Mommy is going to put a smile on her face for Jake though she is sad inside. I cant believe a year has gone by since my sister is gone. I still miss her alot. Fingers crossed to get through this month

And toast the ones that got their wings.
As the year finally comes to a close
A memory of all of them and their things.
I will miss my sister Maxi most of all
I am sure so does Leo's Parumph gang
Remembering Jessie,Quincy, and Mollie
Our memories as the New Year Rang.
But happiness came to some of you
A new furry sister or a brother
A wonderful part to your year
You will remember it as no other.
So cherich your family for what you have
They mean the most to us
