Arrival Story:
Frank was wandering the N. GA mountains for months near my inlaws home and the people in the community were feeding this charming dog. My inlaws kept telling me that I needed to come get this 'white German shepherd' before he got hit by a car. My husband was finally able to catch him one day and bring him home, obviously he is not a German Shep. I contacted the Husky and Malamute rescues near me and also shelters but noone had reported him missing and he had no microchip. Since I'd done a lot of fostering before, my plan was to then foster him until we could find him a home because Malamutes are not known to be good with cats. Well, it didn't take but a few days to figure out that Frank was not going anywhere. Frank loves the cats. He is particularly fond of Daisy, my no tail 2 year old kitty that thinks she chihuahua. He's been with me for over a year now and is the most loving, best behaved in my 'pack'. I often feel for the family that lost him because it is obvious that he was loved and there is no telling how far Frank wandered since they are very nomadic dogs. All I know is that he is extremely loved, extremely spoiled and we wouldn't know what we'd do without that silly dog! We tried to re-name him but up in the country, they'd been calling him 'Frank' and he was already responding to it. People up there were making extra biscuits and gravy for him for a while before we were finally able to catch him! LOL!

Frank's personality is really hysterical to us. Our cat Daisy is obsessed with his tail and he just ignores her or wags it harder, she's missing her tail. He also likes to stick his cold nose on my cheek in the mornings to wake me up and gets a SURPRISED look when I open my eyes. He also has a habit of trying to sleep under the coffee table if I'm on the couch...problem is, he is almost 110 pounds and gets STUCK! But he still inches in bit by bit! I am forever grateful to have this beautiful boy in my life!
