Arrival Story:
I saw a posting on the bulletin board at work that there was a Sheltie at a shelter in my area that was going to be put to sleep in a day or two if someone didn't adopt him. I'd always wanted a Sheltie or a Collie so I took myself to the shelter the next day and visited with him. I find out he had tested positive for heartworm and wasn't neutered. But the shelter was going to help with the neutering and contribute to the heartwork treatment. I took him for a walk and I asked him if he wanted to come home with me. He wagged his tail and licked my hand and it was all over. I brought him home that day and he came home and he and Oreo got along after he tried to get familiar with her for a little while and he told her no. And he got with the program at my house right away. He's been a good little dog ever since. A real lover.

Bio:
The one thing he did shortly after he moved in with us was to eat half of a birthday cake off the dining room table. He had purple icing in the white fur on his chest. It was kind of funny really. He was waddling. Rocky passed away on July 9, 2007. We were very sad, but he had become very sick all of a sudden and it was time to let him go. We miss him all the time.
