Heart Disease

Well mom's been told I'm in the beginning stages of heart disease. It's a terribly long story and one bad vet & one great vet later....the second one got us our answers!

Mom knew I wasn't feeling well....beyond just being mopey or tired. The first vet said I was "perfectly healthy"....and Mom knew better. She knows me better than I know myself. The very next day my vet found out what was wrong.

It's not curable, but it's manageable....and we can live with that!! My grandpa says that I love my mommy so much my heart just got too big!!! I think he's right!!!

Lots of investigating now for Mom....lots of new stuff to learn....but we'll be fine. We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!

1,000 Views!!

I reached a milestone today on Dogster!!! I've had 1,000 pups & peeps view my page!!! Mom's been watching and waiting.....yesterday we had 997. We are so excited!!!!

Ouch!

Mom tricked me again yesterday! But it was best for me....she took me to the dreaded vet!!!

I haven't been sleeping......I try to! But I've been shaking my head, a LOT! I like to sleep under the covers with Mommy, and I tried to be a gentleman and get out of bed when I had to shake my head....I really tried. But this went on for days, and I was looking tired....DOG tired.....my eyes were glazed and red from not sleeping. I kept pawing at my ear too. And when I walked I tilted my head down and to the left. I've been living under the bed during the day. And it's not like me to not be right by Mom all the time!!

Mom figured I had an ear infection, and she was right! But it was DOUBLE! Yep, that's right....double, as in both ears!!! My vet thinks I might be developing alleriges! So he gave mom some ear medicine and said I would be feeling better in a couple of days.

But guess what?! I slept all night! I'm feeling better already!! And mom is so glad! She was so worried about me! She felt bad that I was sick, but the vet told her it wasn't her fault...she felt better after that.

I woof my mommy!!!

Marcia~Marcia~Marcia!

Some of you may be too young to remember the Brady Bunch, but mom says I'm suffering from the "Marcia Syndrome"....BOL...She's been spending so much time on Dogster with my sister Paisley, I've been neglected on here. Now don't get me wrong, she's not neglecting me in real life...I've actually keep getting even more spoiled since Paisley showed up!! BOL But she's been making friends and exploring Dogster so I've been sitting back and letting her have some fun.

But guess what!?!?! Paisley's real sister contacted her today on Dogster!! The other dog's mom was cruising Dogster looking for other dogs like Paisley....and when she came across P's page she saw that they shared the exact birthdate. So after a few 'back and forth' emails it was confirmed!! They were litter mates!! How cool is that?!?!? So I guess having the "Marcia Syndrome" isn't so bad, especially if if means finding a relative!!! I wish I could be so lucky!!!

Not Again!

Ok, so it's been awhile since I've added to my diary, and a LOT has happened!!! First of all, five weeks ago today my world was turned upside down AGAIN because Mommy came home with another dog! This time it's a GIRL! Ugh.

Her name is Paisley, and she's a Schnocker....BOL!! She's half miniature Schnauzer and half Cocker Spaniel. I just think it's funny to say....schnocker!!!! So anyways, I think she's gonna be alright. The first full day she was here, we were running and playing and all that fun stuff that pups do. Mommy says she'll "keep me young"....whatever that means!!! I don't think I'm old!! BOL!! She's just a puppy and sometimes she gets on my nerves, but she IS fun to play with, so I guess I'm glad she's here.

Now, for what happened TODAY!! Mom got me and Pais all ready to go for a ride. "I" knew we were going because I know 'the signs' to look for. Paisley is still kinda clueless when it comes to that stuff! So Mom says..."Let's go!" and we run to the door like wild beasts. The ride was fun, the sun was shining and Mom was singing. Well finally we stop and Mom attaches my leash...oh boy, I'm thinking....a WALK!!! Not. My walk ended about 10 steps later and when mom opened the door, I smelled "the smell"......my fellow pups YOU know "the smell"....it was the smell of the VET!!!! I froze in my tracks just outside the door Mom was holding open. She was carrying Paisley, and gently with her foot she booted me in the door!!! Can you believe THAT?? I thought it was rude!!

So we go in and wait our turn. Unfortunately it wasn't a long enough wait for ME! But Dr. Ryan is really cool, and very nice. And ha ha, Paisley got to go first!!! So I stand there and watch Dr. Ryan check out Paisley, and when he turned around to talk to me.....I ran!! BOL!! But, unfortunately AGAIN.....Mom had me on the leash and I got NOWHERE. So up I go, on the table, and Dr. Ryan checked me out. I got some shots that Mom says are "good" for me.....whatever, she doesn't know what it feels like!!! Good for me my biscuit!!! BOL.

But for what it's worth, Mom says I did really good today and when we got home we got TREATS!! Yummy yummy treats, so maybe behaving at the Vet has it's benefits afterall???? BOL!

Bad Dog

It was not a good day to be me today,I was a bad dog. Mommy let me outside this morning to do my morning 'business' and scan the perimeter of my house for any intruders a.k.a. squirrels, and anything else that decided to hang out in my yard.

Well every so often, while Mommy is getting ready for work, she'll peek outside~just to make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be. And just for the record, I'm ALWAYS where I'm supposed to be....ummm, well....except for today.

When Mommy looked out the front door, she saw me running toward the house....all was well. Or so I thought! Turns out my Papa was coming around the corner in his car, honking at my mom. She went out to talk with him and he TOLD ON ME! I don't know why, but somehow I wandered onto the street beside my house. Maybe I was hot on the trail of a good smell, or a squirrel...something.... ANYTHING......but there's no if's and's or but's about it, I was in the street and I was busted!

A nice lady driving on the street I was standing in the middle of, stopped and let me cross to my side. (Gee, that was awful nice of her!) But anyway, when Papa told my mom where he saw me, she wasn't happy. I felt bad right away and went and hid under my bed. She still gave me a kiss and rubbed my head before she left for work and told me she loved me. But I have a bad feeling that from now on I will be hooked up to that stupid leash whenever I go outside. Poop.

I'm Four Today!!

I don't know what all the fuss is about, but Mom says I'm having my 'woofday' today and that I'm four...but then she says something about 28 as well....so she has me totally confused. BOL! But apparently this is an important day?!?!? I'm getting new chewies, and squeakies and stuff, but my mom spoils me every day....so what makes today any different?? I won't argue with her, I like it when she loves on me so I won't make her stop!! BOL! So I hope you all are having as great of a day as I am! Happy Woofday Everybody!!!

I just wanted to wish all the mommies out there a Happy Mother's Day! You love us, and care for us, and give us treats all the time and we're lucky to have you!! I love my mommy SO much!

Funny Story

My mom took me on a walk with her daughter-in-law and her dog. His name is Charlie, he's a Boston Terrier and he's pretty cool, and he's on Dogster as well. You can see him on my pup pal page. He's wearing a slick red sweater in his picture. So anyway, he did something so funny on our walk I just HAD to tell!! BOL

We went on our usual walk, and were about 4 blocks from home. Well Charlie had decided that he'd had enough of walking and stopped....not only did he stop but he laid down in the grass and refused to move!! It was BOL funny! He looked so silly just laying there, his tongue hanging out. He's a funny guy!!

They finally convinced him to get up and finish the walk, and it really was one of those "you had to be there" moments, but I wanted to share my silly story with you all. Me and Charlie are buds!
