Arrival Story: My mom got me shortly after my brother Elliott passed away. She swore up and down that she would never ever have a dog again-even though many of her friends disagreed with her and felt that Elliott would find her a new dog to help ease her loneliness and pain. One day my previous dad stopped by the coffee shop she worked at with me and told her that he needed a new home for me due to issues with his landlord. She at first said that she couldn't help, but would look and see if she could find a home for me. She went out to meet me and fell in love instantly (who wouldn't have?). They exchanged numbers and she told him she would call if she heard of anything. Well, my dad couldn't wait and two weeks later called her pleading for her help. She agreed to take me for two weeks and go from there. My dad took me over to her house and we talked for a some time while we watched Animal Cops New York. She told my dad if she took me that he would not get me back and that I would be spayed. Whatever that meant. He agreed to everything she said and then they left me in the house to go get my food bowl and toys. He hugged my mom really tight and started crying and gave me a big hug. I was really sad that night and kind of ignored my mom until it was bedtime and then I cried to get under the covers and she let me in and I have been with her ever since!
Bio: Since I came to live with my mom, I got a new daddy when she got married in 2004 and now have a 10 year old brother and 15 year old sister to play with. I also got a new cat that loves to attack me. Mom and dad are also trying to add on to the family and I can't wait to have yet another brother or sister to love! :0)

I AM GETTING A NEW BROTHER!!! My mommy went to the pound looking for my kitty sister Pandora on Friday (who is now home safe and sound btw, came home in the middle of the night last night)......anywhoo.....She was there at the kitty room and was talking to a worker there and was being told how all of the cats and dogs are only there about a week before they get put to sleep if no one claims or adopts them. Well mommy being a big animal lover got all upset, but I don't know why, is being put to sleep the same as going to sleep? I guess its not cause she doesn't care if I go to sleep.....hmmmmm
Well she started looking at the dogs and saw a pure boxer pup there that has a whole lotta personality and put herself on the waiting list, but she is number two. Then she started looking around again, for some reason she just couldn't go yet. It broke her heart to see all of these beautiful doggies and kitties in cages without loving homes. So many lovely bullies all well mannered and loving, chihuahuas etc. All have little chance of finding a good home, we have so many shelters in this area and all overcrowded. Mommy wishes we could do something, maybe someday she says. Wow.... I am rambling....well mom walked by this kennel and something darted back into the other side of the wall and mom checked out its info, and it was a corgi mix. After getting permission, she went in and coaxed him out of the hole and found the sweetest little boy ever! He is still a pup, like the boxer, but more mellow....sounds like he won't drive me too crazy! He came out of his shell quite quick and was very playful with mommy. She went back to see if he was available, not just yet....but she is first on the list! When she went back to see him to take pictures, he came right out to say hello, and even tried to take her purse so she wouldn't leave! Then he tried to leave with her. She is going to go back and take pictures for me, and take my human siblings to meet him! Hopefully we will get him! I am sooooooooo excited! I am kinda spoiled, so I will be a brat for a few days, but once I get used to him....all will be well. I am still excited though! Dad isn't that excited though, but he is getting better....he should have known if he had let mom go alone, she would have got a dog! WOOOO WOOO! (That's me being happy I have a new playmate)
It was sooooo nice on Saturday! The weather was in the 70's mom said which was nice, cause it had been sooo cold these last few months. Mom went to the store and came back with lots of roses and other plants because we had lost a lot of plants during the deep freeze. We spent the afternoon in the back yard and I helped mom plant flowers and reseed the lawn. Well, not really.....my idea of helping is tearing around the yard doing warp runs and dropping my tennis ball in the holes mom was digging! She didn't get enough roses she said to finish the job, so I guess we are going to get more today when she goes to get kibble. I really love the weekends this time of year, we spend so much time outside. I wish that mom and dad could be with me all the time, but they keep telling me that have to do this work thing so that they can buy my kibble and tennis balls. But mom keeps promising that one day she will be home with me all the time. She said something about that again yesterday. We shall see....Until then I will enjoy the time I get with them and maybe mom will post a video of my warp runs soon. I am not too good at this computer stuff yet! ;o)
