Arrival Story:
I was leaving my neighborhood this morning to do some errands and I saw a sign posted "Found: Brown and White Pit Bull". I live in a golf course community and have yet to see any pits besides my own. I call the number and ask if anyone's claimed the dog yet. She said no and told me that it's a female and she is VERY skittish. She has been staying on the side of the lady's house for about a week and a half. She said she could only get about 15 feet from her before she'd run away then come back. So I said I'd run by and see her and see what her potential was. I get there and she said, don't worry, when she runs away, she'll come back. Maybe within some time, she'll come up to you. She won't get near my family or my neighbor's. I get down and she walks further away and within about a minute she comes right up to me, smells my hand and gives me a kiss. The poor thing just had a litter and someone dumped her off. She proceeded to follow me to my car and she hesitated a little bit, and after I gave her my eggroll, she jumped in my car!! The lady was dumbfounded. She said about 10 minutes before I called, the dog had been getting really antsy and roo-ing alot. The lady seems to think we're meant to be. She's a beauty with the exception of her huge boobies. The lady said with her staying outside, other neighbors had said they were going to call animal control. And the nearest shelters are anti-pit bull. I couldn't let that happen. Toda and Sadie have been completely accepting of her, they are all very close. Hooter acts like a mommy to them. Hooter already knew sit, lay down and how to play with tennis balls. I think she was stolen from her original family and used for breeding purposes. No one who would let their dog get into the horrible condition she is in, would train her and play ball with her. I took her to the vet 2 days after getting her. She has a skin infection and a mammary infection. She is being spayed in August after her infections clear up. She is negative for heartworms, mange and all other internal parasites. Yay for Hooter!!

Bio:
Hooter looks like an entirely new dog now. When looking at pics of her when we first got her, you'd never recognize her now. I've decided to add a pic of her the day we got her. You can obviously tell the difference. That pic was taken on July 7th, 2004, the day we got her. Please email her at twopitsonegsd@yahoo.com
