Last Wednesday, Nala's terrier hunting instincts kicked into high gear. The neighborhood bunny population is minus one.....I was a little overwhelmed by the whole experience. Nala's is almost 4 years old. That was the first time she has killed. My Sweetie has gone from lap dog to predator!

What A Sunday!

It was Sunday afternoon and time to take Nala to her first Toy Dog Meet Up at an indoor facility. The sky was blue, the tempereature of the air was warm but not hot. The sun was shining with not a cloud in the sky. It was time for Nala to go to her first Toy Dog Meet Up. We had to drive about 30 minutes to get to the facility. When arriving to the facility the door bell rang when we entered and the group facilitator beckoned for us to draw closer to the back of the facility. We were very hesitant at first being that we had never been on such a venture before. Nala spotted the other dogs and immedialtely her ears drew to attention. She was withering in my arms to get down. But I held on toher tightly to loose her harness that was around her body. I also had to undo the leash that was attatched to the harness. The facilitator kept asking us were we ready to enter the room which had a swinging door that we had to go through. Myself,My son and Nala entered the room. The small dogs mostly Pappillions and 3 min pins immediately came up to us. I hesitated but then put Nala down. She immediately took charge of the room. Smelling the floors the cracks and all the sorrounding areas of the facility. She began to run around and play with the other dogs. But she became very interestd in the Min pins for some reason. One of the min pins actually began showing it's teeth at Nala. But Nala would confront the dog every time growling. And they began chasing each other. Nala also would chase the smaller min pins at times, seeming as if she was bullying them, but never once showing her teeth. She was running so fast she would also trip the smaller min pins and they would spin on their backs . Hopefully all of this play in the dog world and not agression. It"s sometimes hard doing people psychology on dogs!!We had a vey nice day seeing all the small dog chase each other back and forth and eat treats.
