Arrival Story:
In 2004, my baaset hound Rex, age 10.5, became ill. He had spleen cancer, we had surgery hoping to give him a chance. It helped for a month or so. One morning I awoke to hem telling me it was time to let him go to the Bridge. September 2, 2004 was a tough day for us and for Rex's brother, Chance. Only a short seven weeks later, Chance's broken heart had taken a toll on him. His last breath was in my face as he went to join Rex at the Bridge. This all having taken place, left us with a very empty house and heart. One day I went on the internet and typed in Basset Rescues in Montana and up popped the Basset Rescue of Montana and the sweetest little face. It was love at first site for me. After filling out all the forms and taking all the pictures, we recieved an e-mail and phone call, come get her, she's yours. We were told she may be a bit shy of men,(she is) but not of Dave, my husband. When Molly came in the room, she ran to him and climbed into his lap. She told us it was a done deal.!!

Forums Motto:
The lap is for curling up on, pleeease!!

Agility is my new passion

It has been a long time since I told you all haow I have been doing. I had some minor surgery a few months back. All is well! I hated to have my legged wrapped, check out the outfit my slave had me wear so that I would leave the wrap alone.
But that is not the best change in my life. I started agility last year and I love it. I had my first competion in May. In three events, I did not qualify, not because I did not try, but because I went and visited all the pole setters and the judge. I thought they were there for just me. };~)
I will keep a more updated diary to let you know how it goes.

July 1, 2007

I have begun agility training and I love it. I have had three classes, 6 practice sessions at the trainers barn and I practice weaves and jumps at home. If you have not tried it you should. I love the tunnel and chute, the walk over was scary the first time, but now I run all the way across, cool. I am still a bit leary of the teeter, but we are making one at home for more practice. I will deep you informed on how I am doing.

It has been a while.

I have been busy, digging in the flower bed, now that the snow is gone and the frost is out of the ground. But bummer, over the weekend to my dismay, a two foot fence has sprung up around my digging spots. Oh well, I still get to climb in my slaves lap while she is down on my level trying to dig or pull weed or what ever she is doing.
Guess what we are doing this weekend? We are going to Fairfield, MT to see flocks and flocks of geese, ducks and swans. I cannot wait, even though so far all I know about them, is the sounds they make as they fly over head, noisy, but my slave says listen to spring. I tell you about my experience next week.
Have a drooly day.
