Arrival Story: It was love at first sight! Ladimer, the dog I had for the last 9 years came up missing and I was not taking it very well. After about a month we talked about maybe getting a puppy. And I had been looking on the internet at different breeds. I couldn't decide weather I wanted a Yorkie or a Maltese. I kept seeing information on mixed breeds, so I looked into it and came across a hybrid labeled MORKIES. These have to be the cutest combination of two breeds. It was true love at first sight!!!! We are so thankful to have Barkley in our lives. He has been such a blessing.

Bio: My mommy told me I was very special. I have over come many odds. At 8 months old I had tonsilitis so bad they had to remove my tonsils and a few baby teeth I retained, I have had 3 Spinal Strokes since Feb. 14th, those strokes may have taken my ability to walk. But guess what? I have wheels now so when I want to go, I CAN! Then because of the nerve damage from the 3rd stoke I lost control of my left eye and developed ulcers. They removed the ulcers and had to pull down my third eyelid and sew my eye shut. I didn't even know I had a third eye lid! After about two weeks they removed the stiches, the Ophthalmologist said that I would proably never regain the ability to open and close my eye again. So my mom and dad had to put eye lubricant in my eye every hour to keep it moist. YUCK, that was crappy. But you know what? After about 3 weeks I showed that Ophthalmologist a thing or two. I can blink my eye just fine, besides if they tried to put those drops in my eye anymore I was going to lose it! Back then I saw how scared & sad my mommy and daddy was, by all the things I have been through. And now I see how proud they are of me, because they never gave up and neither did I. My mommy told me that God made me special for her and my daddy. And that I am one of God's best miracles.
So please don't go awwwhhh when you hear my story or see me out on a stroll. I have a great life, with lots and lots of love and people who care so much for me. Even my sister Bayla adores me. She is the best playmate ever.! She lays next to me and we play for hours. Or until she falls asleep, she's still a baby so she needs her rest.
