Lady Lily

my first overnight

wow...i didn't know what was going on...my mommy and daddy came by in the afternoon to visit me, but they left. then, they came back, with grandma and decided to take me home. it was really cold outside and something was pelting my head. mom said something about sleet and dad said rain. whatever, it hurt and it made me more cold.

we got in the car, went home and mom plopped me down in the kitchen with my big sister jumping all around me. they had to get stuff out of the car i guess...then they bundled me back up and put daisy on a leash and we got in the car again. i figured i was going back to my brothers and sisters, but no, we went to this place, that smelled really funny. all the people were coming up to me and petting me...another big dog came by, daisy wasn't so sure about him, but i guess he was alright, he didn't bother me at all and daddy was there to take care of me. mom and dad called it a pet store and they bought all kinds of cool stuff, including some fun toys for me and daisy!

after our big outing, we headed home and i was able to sleep on mommy's lap. we got home and daddy put this box thing together, while mom got me some food. daisy actually got to eat first, but that's ok, she's bigger, for now. after i ate, mom took me and daisy outside. let me tell you IT WAS COLD. and my mom put me on the ground...what was she thinking??? well, i was not a happy camper. i tried crawling up mom's leg, but she kept telling me to do my potties...my whatties? whatever...when we came back in mom and dad stayed in the kitchen while daisy and i played. i found her bed makes for a very fun chew toy. not only could i chew on it, i could drag it across the room...she was ok with it for a while, but i think i got on her nerves and daisy finally pushed me out of the way.

eventually they put me in the box thing...they called it a kennel. i was not happy.i guess the kennell thing wasn't so bad. i had a nice soft bed to sleep on and a cuddle toy to lay with. dad found a ticking thing, he called a clock, to lay with me to help me sleep. i was pretty sleepy, it had been a very busy day. daisy kept watch over me throughout the night. i think she likes me a lot, and i know i like her too! we're going to be the best sisters ever!

mom took me outside again in the icky weather, but i really had to pee both times so i didn't care at first...and i guess that peeing thing is what potties are, because she kept telling me what a good girl i was for doing potties outside...who knew?

i riled the house early the next morning...dad stayed up, but mom went back to sleep. when dad started to bring human food out, he kicked daisy into the bedroom with mom...thank goodness because she was spazing out over mom and dad's food...what for, i don't know...i'm sure it's not that different from ours. any how, this gave me a chance to take a nice nap on daisy's bed. it's very comfy and easier to lay on when she's not around.

my nap didn't last too long. after i recharged my batteries, i got up and started nipping at dad's feet. i don't think this was a good idea, because he ended up tossing me into the bed with mom and daisy...mom cuddled with me and wrapped me in the sheets. we had a nice rest together, just the three of us.

during breakfast i tried knawing on mom and dad's feet. this was a bad idea because i kept getting yelled at, but it worked out fine when mom put on her shoes and i could chew on those instead.

after breakfast, my dog mommy's dad came to get me and we went home to my brothers and sisters. but i know i'll get to go back and see my mom and dad real soon. i'll even see daisy too!! :)
