Arrival Story:
I was looking for a playmate for Kikay and buying a new dog is out of the question. Fortunately, last July 6, 2004, when I visited a relative, their dog gave birth last June. They told me that there were supposed to be six pups but four of them where either stolen or just manage to get out of the house and they only wanted to retain one of the pups so when I asked if I can have one and they did not hesitate to give the pup to me.

Bio:
Ara loves to climb and jump from anything: sofa, window, trees, and our wall. That afternoon, when I left our house, Ara though was chained to a tree, was very active and happy. Oddly, when I came back an hour after, I found Ara lying on the ground. Normally, every time I get back home, Ara would continuously bark ‘till I give her my attention and a pat on the head. Curiously, I called her name and went to her. When I was about to give her a pat, I saw that Ara wasn’t breathing. I learned that my 9-year old godson released the chain from the tree to play with her. The kid went out and Ara did her usual climbing trees and leaped. Unfortunately, since my godson did not remove the chain from her collar and it got caught on a branch. The chain wasn’t long enough for her to reach the ground. All the while, the people at home were inside the house. I was told that they did hear Ara yelping but didn’t took notice of this since she normally does that. Ara will definitely be missed but It is still to hard to accept that Ara had a tragic death. Ara passed away this August 9, 2009.
