Arrival Story:
Leila came to us from a wonderful woman that couldn't keep her due to changes at her apartment complex - they no longer allowed pit bulls. Her owner really wanted to find a new place and take Leila back, however nothing was working out right. Leila's mom comes and visits a lot, but she began to think about what was best for Leila - life just wasn't playing the cards she needed to be able to take her girl home. She was perfectly happy here having so many other dogs to play with and had become so well adjusted - it was obvious where Leila thought she should be. We talked about it and equally settled on the decision to add Leila to the pack :-)
Bio:
Leila is a GREAT gal - she's fun loving and just enjoyable to be around. Not only did we have the joy of babysitting her, but also her sire and a littermate (a brother) for a couple months. While the boys were here, we made sure that they were both neutered and worked on some training. Leila looks a lot like her dad. Both the boys were able to go with their owner when he was able to find a place to live, and are doing well. All three were delights to have in our home. We are thrilled to be able to call Leila our own now, and have already taken her to rescue events as a canine representative for the rescue. She is a natural at the events - so outgoing and social. She really has been nothing but a joy to have here!
