Tired? BOL!!

Mom thought she'd give us a rest day yesterday cuz we looked tired.
BOL!!
We slept in late, got up and ate, then retired to the couches.
Where we napped all morning.
Mom thought, maybe since it's been cold, we were extra tired and needed a day off from running
We had a great, pawsome rest day. Snoozing all day on the couches.
Ahh, rest and relaxation at last.
After a very relaxing day, our energy clearly has returned and
We kept mom up all night!
well, we weren't tired anymore after resting all day. duh. BOL!

Pam! and the expedition.

We got to the park and were ready to hop out and go running
Just then, Mom suspiciously pulled out the cooking spray.
She was dressed for running, not cooking, and we were in the truck
What the Fur, I thought.
Then, even weirder, she sprayed the cooking spray on our feets!
I was afraid she had finally lost her mind,
that she was gonna try and saute' us (except there was no oven and no pan...curious)
Ok, so she sprayed all our feets with Pam
hooked us onto the leash and we hopped out and went running
The path was icy in some parts, but it was not a super cold day today (not like 8 degrees of yesterday)
It was pretty warm today at 23 degrees,
so it's hard to tell how well that stuff worked for protecting my delicate pads,
but I hafta say, I barely noticed it.
None of us did.
We let mom spray our feet and didn't give it a second thought.
We are interested in finding out if Pam helps out on those very cold days.
I'll keep you pups posted!

Are you kidding me or what?

It was below zero here yesterday
8 degrees to be exact (technically above zero, but that's besides the point - it was arctic cold).
The sun was shining, but that really doesn't matter when it's 8 degrees outside, pals.
Mom decided she wanted to go running
Of course we all go with her!
But pals, as much as I love our field trips into the great outdoors,
I like keeping my feets warm even more.
And they were not warm out there.
No musher's secret (it went missing, somehow), no shoes (we don't wear shoes, thankyouverymuch)
and momma kept running
my feetses were cold
Max's feetses were cold
Kodi's pretty tough and gamey, so he was OK.
Today, momma sez she's gonna put Pam on our pads.
I don't know who this Pam is.
As soon as I find out, I'll give you pals the scoop.

The Blizzard of Dec. 2010

It's been snowing all night and all day
and not a little bit either
boatloads of snow
like, you can't even see through all the snow coming down
It's PAWSOME
You may have noticed that I'm the only pup in my family with new pictures up
that's because I'm the only one who likes the snow.
Kodi keeps running to safety...the car, the front door
and Max just cowers like the snow is acid hitting him in the face.
They're crazy.
This snow is the best of the best
I'm telling you, best day ever!
Yep, I love it all,
that's why they call me 'gusto'!

Chicken Liver!!!

Mom made a whole chicken in the crock pot
she didn't see the extra bag of chicken livers inside
cuz she didn't clean it out, dad did - he missed the livers, so they cooked along with the chicken
well, the peeps didn't really want the livers - mostly because they didn't know what to do with them
bla bla bla, I don't care about that
what I do care about is who gets the livers!
ME!!!!

After I gobbled up my livers,
I turned into somewhat of a crack pup
I followed the peeps around - yes, I was totally underfoot (even more than usual)
I ran my nose into mom incase she forgot I was there
I tried to trip dad incase he had some livers in his hands
but the livers were gone.

it was a sad realization I eventually came to
when I had to - sigh - eat my dog food.

I'm FAMOUS!

Or Infamous, is more like it.
We went to the dog park early to avoid the big snowstorm that is actually happening right now.
We came across the 10 am pack.
By now you all know how well socialized I am BOL
and how much I enjoy herding and shouting at other pups, much to the peeps embarrassment.
Ok, so we come upon this pack who we haven't seen since last summer
cuz we've been at the lake or running with mom instead of at the dog park.
The pack O' dogs agitated me and I started herding and barking
one of the hoomans in the pack said,
Oh, it's Roxy
If it wasn't so arctic cold outside, mom woulda burned red from embarrassment BOL!
Somehow she got hold of my collar and made me stop herding and shouting
and we walked on by,
the rest of the walk was uneventful
but I won't forget that I am famous BOL!!

Weekend 'cake day with a shocker

Yep it's 'cake and bacon day
We love our pancakes
and now SO DO THE SKWERLS!

OMD, you can't even believe how outrageous this is to Maxwell
He can't even bear to write about it in his diary, so I have to tell you what happened.

We always get our very own 'cakes after the peeps finish breakfast.
They make ours special and let then cool
(mostly for me since I don't chew)
Ok, so the peeps had some extra 'cakes
I say pass 'em ovfur!!
But what happened?
The peeps put a place of the extra 'cakes out on the deck
For the SKWERLS!!
OMD.
It's just a travesty.
The skwerls getting fatter and fatter evfurry day
Making off with our snax.

Max is losing his mind ovfur this situation.
I don't know how we're going to retrain the peeps on this one
The seem to think those skwerls are cute
and that they need a little extra fattening up since it got so cold so fast.

arrgh.
it's not good, pups, not good at all.
We have alot of work ahead of us...

A.K.A. Thanksgiving!
I'm wishing all my great pals and wonderfur Thanksgiving
and on this day of Thanks,
I am most thankful for the friendship of all you pups
It's been a wonderfur day,
me and my furry compadres got to sample some of the spread
I may be biased, but it was the best Thanksgiving dinner I ever tried!
Why?
Cuz the peeps spend Thanksgiving with us pups
A wonderfur new tradition
I helped cook and of course, clean up! BOL
I'm still waiting for my piece of pie...

'CAKES!!!!

We had an impromtu 'cake day today!
and by 'cakes, I mean PANCAKES!!!
'cakes are normally reserved for weekend days...with bacon, of course.
But fur some reason, Dad made us some tasty 'cakes early this a.m. - he was cooking fur the 2 furless pups, himself and us.
He left mom some batter so she could make her own 'cakes when she got up.
So she did.
And since our breakfast with mom is always a team effort,
we got more 'cakes.
I'm Thankful for 'Cakes!
