When I come home
My dogs do not ask to fight
They do not seek that that which they must harm
They seek only the love and affection of us
Their family
And shower us with love.
Why do people ask then why do you have pit bulls?
Is it because I have a shaved head?
Is it because I look like I am mean?
Can they not see beyond my rough facade?
I get it now, they can not see beyond the light and into the heart.
I saw a picture of a friends dog and she said it showed the window into her dogs soul.
When I look into the Cookies eyes, I see beauty,
Kindness, love and a desire to please.
That dog……….is a pitbull.
Where are we as a society
That we must only see the surface?
We must look deeper, into the soul
It is only then that you can really see
For on the outside we are blind, on the inside we have true sight
Pitbulls do not care what is on the outside, they only see the soul.
..........I think I caught up with most of my thank yous and PPR's. There are so many great pups around here.
Hey mom went to see Furl (Curly) today and she loved him! Who could not love that big headed dude. Gonna try and arrange a meetup so we can see if the pack would get along..........stay tuned.............
I would like to pass along a little ear nip to all of my pup pals and soon to be pup pals.
I would also like you to know that some of the dogs from the Boulder Creek abuse case are doing better. Went in this morning to help take pictures of the pups for adoption and got to see that they are doing so much better!
