Arrival Story:
I had thought about getting a little dog for about a year and an email went around about this 6 month old puppy who needed a home. Once I saw her picture I was hooked and kept asking about the puppy for 6 weeks until she came to me. Within 5 minutes of being at my house, she pooped in front of the back door. I guess she knew she was home.

Bio:
Boo was hit by a car on 2/05/08. When I got her from the road, she was paralyzed so I rushed her...ok, flew like a Bat out of H...to the Emergency Vet. They found she had broken her back. I had two options, pay gobs of money or put her to sleep. Since she had no other internal injuries, I paid gobs of money to have Boo transferred to the Veterinary Surgical Associates to be evaluated by a spinal surgeon. The surgeon told me she had a 75-85% chance of walking again with surgery and that I wouldn't know for weeks how successful the surgery was. Two days later, Boo was walking again!! Not walking well, mind you, but walking. She's been walking better ever since! So just when you think there might not be hope, there is hope!
