Likes: steak, cheese, visits from my grandparents, getting massages, tagging along behind my baby (my 7-year-old neice)

Pet-Peeves: neighborhood dogs not on a leash, when I try to sit at the dinner table with everyone else and I get scolded

Favorite Toy: My wooly "man" and in my younger days my squeeky basketball and anything than could be de-stuffed

Favorite Food: Pedigree Healthy Maturity - but I prefer the squares and there's not many of them.

Favorite Walk: to grandma's and grandpa's house a block away -- I know just where the treats are!

Best Tricks: dancing, talking, rolling over when its time for my massage, washing my face like my kitty brother taught me too.

Arrival Story: It had only been a few months since we'd had our 17-year-old dachshund Heidi put to sleep after she had a series of strokes, we were thinking of getting another dog but had just casually discussed it, when a neighbor called and said, "The strangest thing just happened, come over and see this, I think I've found ya'll a new dog." Their dog Abbey (another red, long-haired dachshund, had been let out in their back yard to do her business and when the neighbor opened the door to let them back in she was sitting on the back porch with a twin! There was a virtually identical six-month old dachshund with her. She was a little dirty and ragged and looked hungry. We've lived there for years and didn't know any neighbors to have any doxies. We took her home where she jumped right into dad's recliner and sat like a person with her "elbow" on the arm rest, like "I'm home guys, what's for supper." We put up notices and called local vets to see if anyone had reported her missing, to no avail. Several weeks later, after we had fallen in love with this little "Angel," we found out new neighbors had bought her and then left her in the backyard by herself while they went on a month-long vacation, entrusting her care to a teenager who never bothered to check on her. When we contacted them they basically said keep her. Their BIG LOSS!

Bio: Angel began suffering from what we believe was cancer in April. We did all we could and our wonderful vet, Dr. Torsch, tried everything he could to save her. Our little gift went to heaven in June of this year. We think she looked up Heidi and her other distant weiner relatives and is hootin and hollerin in Heaven.
