I am finally over my gallbladder surgery and able to bring my diary up to date. Yes my gallbladder was full of stones and dogtors agree it should come out at the earliest possibility which was March 13. I didnt handle surgery very well and kept vomiting, and so I had to stay in hospital on IV's.

I ended up staying 4 nights and boy was it expensive; they didnt want to release me because I wasn't eating, but mom said I simply had to come home and she would see that I ate. As it was she had to force feed me - that is, puree everything and put it in a syringe and squirt into my mouth. We did that for almost 3 days and finally I started eating on my own - what a relief for the pawrentals - and me too, I didnt like that syringe coming at me every half hour ! In the midst of it all I had a seizure. Mom immediately took me off all drugs and after that I started to improve. Looking back mom wonders if some of the drugs were making me vomit, and she is pawsitive some of them caused the seizure.

My gallstones were black but the lab couldnt see anything else unusual about them. My liver enzymes were still high so I was started on Denosyl and I am still on it. Otherwise things are back to normal today and I am playing and eating just like I always did.
