Update

Unfortunately, 7 months after surgery, I still cannot run or jump. I can barely walk but the GOOD news is my doctor adjusted my braces recently and they are more comfortable and I am walking better in them. I still have a long road of recovery ahead of me. My mommy and daddy will not give up till I can run again.

My Surgery is Scheduled

I have to have arthrodesis on my front legs. My surgery is scheduled for July 15th. I had my pre-surgical bloodwork last week and that came back normal so it is safe to put me under anesthesia. Mommy says they will have to do a bone graft from my hip and then scrape the cartilage off my front legs so that the bone will fuse together and create a strong bone so my legs will be in the position they are supposed to be in. My rehab will be very long and hard. I will have to visit the doctor every week for 4-6 weeks so he can check my bandages and splints and see my progress and then I will have to go every other week for another 4-6 weeks. Mommy and daddy are going to have to work very hard with me to get me walking correctly again.

Hopefully after this surgery, I can run and jump again. That would be so wonderful! Then I could kick my little brother Andre's butt! BOL!

It's been a long time......

Well, things are not so good for me lately. Mommy and daddy found out that I need surgery for my legs (it's called Arthrodesis) and it costs $3,000. We cannot afford the surgery and do not know when they will be able to since daddy has been out of work because of the economy. I can no longer run or jump and mommy is getting concerned because I just lie around. I still go on my walks but I walk very slow so daddy has to take me on a separate a;l without my brothers. Sometimes I run a little but compared to how fast I used to run, it's pretty slow.

I am hanging in there. Mommy and daddy pamper me because I am the princess. : )

9 Month Anni"fur"sary

Friday was my 9 month annifursary with mommy, daddy & Chaz. Time flies when you're living the good life. I am so loved... I know this because mommy calls me a princess and she even treats me like one too. I am very happy with my new family and they are happy that I am with them. I really like my brother too. We play every day and we have so much fun together. I get to see my grandparent's every 2 weeks and I go for lots of walks and car rides. I would say I'm a lucky little girl. LIFE IS GOOD.

Correction.... TODAY is my 6 month annifursary! WOOF!

Mommy is so silly. She messed up! She was looking at some pictures last night and saw one that said "First Day" and it was February 16, 2007. BOL! So today is my official 6 month annifursary!!!! Yippppppeeeeee! I am so loved!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is my 6 month Anni"fur"sary

Today has been 6 months since I found my furever home. Boy I tell ya...time sure does fly when you are being spoiled! BOL! I am very happy in my home and mommy & daddy really love me a lot and so do gramma & grandpa. I like my little brother too. He is OK. A little rambuctious but OK. ; )

Hi My name is Bella Felice

You can call me Bella. I came to live with Chaz and his mommy & daddy last weekend. They are very nice people and they really seem to like me a bunch. They have taken me on car rides and to Petco and they took me to the vet for a check up today. I will forgive them for that one! They give me lots of love and attention and yummy food and treats and I even have a warm bed to sleep in.

I was given up by my family and another very nice family took me in but I was just not the right dog for them. One of their doggies bit me. I guess he did not like me too well. Chaz really seems to like me and we play and have fun. I think I am going to like it here. I hear that I am going to visit my grandparents tomorrow. I have GRANDPARENTS! Oh boy that sounds like great fun! I love car rides!!!!!

I really like Dogster too. I Have met some very nice doggies here. Who would have thought that I would have my own web page. This is too cool!
