Leave a bone for Bailey

Nicknames: BaileyGirl (sung to the tune of Zappa's "Valley Girl")

Quick Bio:
Likes: Her mom (me), offleash dog parks, canoeing, tummy scratches, leftover canned catfood

Pet-Peeves: When attention is given to the cats, not getting walks (darn that fenced yard), the mailman

Favorite Toy: She's not into toys, but she does like to move shoes around the house.

Favorite Food: DQ chicken tenders, whatever the cats leave behind in their own bowls. But her main diet is homemade (hamburger/rice dishes) mixed with Iams dry and canned. I suggest the "Throw Me a Bone" doggy cookbook.

Favorite Walk: Offleash dog park in St. Paul, or just around the neighborhood -- good sniffin' territory!

Best Tricks: Go upstairs, go downstairs, gimme five, gimme 10, Bang! (she plays dead), kisses

Arrival Story: I went to a PetCo pet adoption day in West St. Paul -- an animal rescue organization was there (from which I've also gotten several cats over the years). She was so gorgeous and sweet and gentle! I had four cats at the time, and she showed *zero* interest in them, so within a week, they all were cool with her, since she didn't get in their faces and push their buttons.

Bio: Her body is German Shepherd, but her sweet face is Keeshond (she's 50/50), and she sheds like a Keeshond. She is the sweetest most gentle girl, but her bark scares away strangers! She comes and gets me when "strange" people are in the neighborhood (that is, anyone who doesn't live around my house). When she was younger, I got her a kitten and they had a great time playing tag around the house. Now, she sees cats as creatures that steal attention that SHE should be getting. She is great with kids, isn't afraid of fireworks, but pees out of fear if a big guy tries to pet her. What a chicken! She stays by my side everywhere we go, so a leash isn't too necessary. She loves to go camping, thinks horses are cool, and protected kittens from my older cat. I was never a "dog" person, until I had Bailey.
