Arrival Story:
I was 19 and my Dad had just died. I needed something to help fill the void, so I went to the local Animal Rescue League and picked out a puppy, but they turned me down because I was living in an apartment without a yard. So, I went home and saw an ad for free puppies that were about a thirty minute drive away. My friend, Courtney, called as I was looking at the ad and asked if I wanted to go see a movie, and I said, "I have a much better idea...." That is how Jack came about, and I am convinced it was fate, as he is the best dog ever.

Bio:
Jack is just one of those dogs. He knows me inside and out as I know him. We can communicate with each other through looks. The collective they says that a dog like that only comes around once in a lifetime. If that's the case, then I found mine early on, and I'll have a looong way to go without "that perfect dog". I rescue dogs on the side, and I have four--all of whom I love very dearly, but Jack was my first, and he really is the best. I know, I am biased, and everyone says that about their dog, so I will spare y'all the gorey details, but just let the record show that I do solemnly declare him "As good as the best, and better than the rest" (engraved on a headstone in the Coondog Cemetery somewhere in South Carolina).
