I get the impression that my human pawrents on Earth are moving to another house. I don't know why.

I hope that don't furget about the times they spent with Me there. I meant I spent hours chasing birds in the backyard and those big silver birds that fly high up. Daddy calls those airplanes.

I'll keep watching them through the stars.

Gigi,

I see you watching us as the bright yellow star in the Western Sky when I walk Marlon.

I miss you like crazy. Two years ago, Buddy went to the Bridge and now you. It was even harder letting you go.

I'm glad that you got to see us become parents. Hopefully our little boy remembers you.

Love,

Daddy

My Peaceful Journey to the Bridge

Hello Pups and Pawrents,

Some you may know that I have been struggling with nose cancer for the past few months. Today my daddy took me for my last walk and fed me like crazy. I died peacefully in my daddy's arms at 4:30 pm today. I look forward in seeing my brother Buddy who went to the Bridge 2 years ago.

Mommy and daddy cried. Life will never be the same without me.

Lord please bless my wonderful pawrents that gave me such a great life.

Twilite Years

I saw the most beautiful sunset last night at the dog park. Reminds us of life. I'm in my Twilight years and I may have nose cancer. The vets say I might have a growth inside my nose that's causing frequent nose bleeds. Other than that I'm doing fine.

I don't know how much time I have left, but I've had a long and good life. I'm almost 14 and at this age anything can happen.

My pawrents are making sure I'm well fed and comfortable. I still suck down food like a Hoover.

Pawrents, enjoy your dog's life. It's short but sweet.

Daddy brought home a strange dog a few days ago. He answers by the name Marlon. They say he is a Cattle dog mix. But mixed with what? He looks like a German shepherd, Pit bull, Shar Pei.

He seems nice enough, but he's really hyper and wants to play all the time.
I'm getting used to him.

Grandpaw is gone :(

Doggies and pawrents, my favorite person in the world, Grandpaw, has passed away.

He suffered a severe stroke 3 weeks ago and never woke up for more than a few minutes at a time.

I'm very sad he's gone, but I'm glad that he is at peace. He can now watch me spin around and around in the yard from the clouds above.

Daddy is going back east to comfort the family. Mommy will stay here to take care of us.

When Grandpaw lived at our house, he always took us for rides. He spoiled us bad.

Thank you for all of your pawrayers.

Luv,

Gigi

What July 4th Means to Me

July 4th means that I must hide underneath the bed when I hear those nasty bang bangs.

My Pawrents tell a different story. They are blessed to live in a country where they can own their own house, bring home doggie children, and allow us to run around in the yard.

The news is always depressing and often reminds us how bad things are. We always hear about the economy, wars, natural disasters, but the news can never take away the excitement my pawrents receive when they walk in the door after a long day of work. Does the news report unconditional love? Does the news report the freedom that Americans have to reap the rewards of education and hard work?

Rather than be victims of life events, we Americans need to stand up, work hard, and prosper. If we can put a man on the moon, we can certainly provide each human and pet a long an prosperous life. By the way why did they send only humans to the moon? I think we should have Dogonauts. We could provide much useful assistance in space. Imagine Neil Armstrong walking a dog on the moon.

PS Pawrents: Pawlease keep your doggie children secured on your property. We don't want the bang bangs to scare your doggies away.

Happy Howliday,

Gigi

A Dog's Life

Woof Wuf to all my furiends,

I want to share my life with Buddy. I've been in our family since February 2000. When I first came home, I was jealous of Buddy getting all the attention. I would nip him and block my pawrents from petting him.

My pawrents thought that I was mean, but actually all I wanted was a little attention. Something that I didn't get from my previous pawrents.

The past year has been hard on us. Buddy collapsed and had a seizure last February. We thought that he was gone. He was back to his old self in a couple of days.

We had a pretty good summer. Mom and Dad were in the pool every weekend and Buddy and I played outside with them. We would sit out on the pool with our pawrents until 2 am. Whenever Daddy would swim under water I would run around, follow him and bark at him. Mom would be exercising in the pool during those hours. Daddy was out with the telescope looking at the moon, Jupiter, and the stars. We watched the clouds sail by. We kept seeing a dog shaped cloud. We were wondering if that were the Rainbow Bridge.

We even went to a furiends house a couple times this summer and they had a big pool and BBQ's.

Buddy was pretty stable all summer. He couldn't do the long walks like we used to, but we were thankful for what he could do.

What a wonderful summer it was. The summer of 2008 would be the last summer with life as we know it.

I really don't know if my brother will be around next summer. But, we'll be watching for that Doggie cloud and see if he would wave at us.

Pawlease all pawrents, enjoy your doggies. Life is short but even shorter fur us doggies.

Kisses and Licks,

Gigi
